First and Last Name: Allen Rhode
Bloodline: Pureblood
Hair color: Copper
Eye color: Dark green
General build: Average
Height: Tall

Birthplace: Rhode Manor, Scotland

Brief childhood history: If one wanted to name one good thing about the Rhodes, then it would be their ability to keep themselves invisible in the world of Muggle even though they themselves are a long line of not prominent but reasonably wide-spread pureblood witches and wizards. In this way, Allen, the youngest child in his five siblings (the next youngest being three years older than him), was born and raised in relative silence and secrecy in a manor that stood near a village in the more rural parts of Scotland.

That didn’t mean Allen was raised all his life locked in his house and not allowed to go outside, however. Thanks to several shields – a lot of shields – erected around the manor, he was allowed to go outside, look after the (completely mundane) pigs and horses that his family keeps, and overall being able to go around and not grow up completely socially stunted – if one doesn’t count the fact that he rarely talks to the people from the actual village and sticks more closely to his father and siblings, or at least the one who are still at home.

Due to his mother, Lady Charlotte Rhode, being of poor health and the Rhodes only having one house-elf and one gardener, Allen and his siblings had learned at a young age to share the workload however they could and help out on the farm as well in the house, and this equips him well enough for living somewhere that isn’t home.

Even so, he isn’t completely pleased about having to leave the house for Hogwarts when his letter inevitably comes. While his family has more than enough money to sustain itself even in harsh times, he’s not eager about leaving his mother home alone with the elves and the gardener while his dad works in his office in the Ministry. After some convincing from the rest of his siblings (and his parents), however, Allen reluctantly packs up and goes to Hogwarts for his career in magic.

Strengths (Including Personal and Academics): With the practice he’d already had, Allen has a good touch with things that deal with nature such as Herbology and he would most definitely enjoy classes that require physical work, like Defense. When the time comes for it, there is also the potential that he will be good at something like Care of Magical Creatures.

Allen is ridiculously attached to the people he had grown up with, or the people he had come to know, and will defend them without a second thought the moment any sort of danger or judgment is passed on them. He understands that there are decent people, and that there are icky people – you just have to know who to ignore, who to pick a fight with, and who to just all-out avoid. His thoughts and actions are also rarely influenced by hearsay and rumors, and he doesn’t participate in them, period, even if he hears and acknowledges them.

Weaknesses (Including Personal and Academics): It would be a slight understatement to say that Allen isn’t very good with things like Transfiguration. Even though his father writes published books on the subject and Allen had of course read through them, he still doesn’t fully understand the theories and how it actually works, which makes him rather…horrible…at Transfiguration. Potions is a close second. There’s a reason why nobody lets him anywhere near the kitchen at home unless he isn’t there to make an attempt at cooking. He falls just short of burning water. History would be something he would struggle in, as Allen is used to walking around and doing something instead of having his butt glued into a seat while an old ghost drones.

His sense of morality is divided clearly into black and white, and it’s hard for him to see and understand a viewpoint that contradicts with or opposes his beliefs, or believe a story that comes from someone who had been the least hostile to his friends in any ways. He also has the tendency to jump straight up into aggressive defensiveness the second someone starts drawing wands and pointing them where they aren’t supposed to be (such as at his aforementioned loved ones). In other words, if you’ve wronged him once, it’s near-impossible to reconcile with Allen and having him trust you completely is essentially out of the question.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Gryffindor will be the best fit here. While his loyalty notes his potential to be a Hufflepuff, Allen is a little too hot-tempered and grudging for the usual mild-mannered stereotype that usually goes with that House. He isn’t loud, but that doesn’t make him any less bold and steadfast in his beliefs, and his devotion to certain people can make him completely fearless. Whether it is a good thing or not depends vastly on the beholder.
