Brief Childhood History:
Ethan Aubin was born from a Half-Blood father and a Muggle mother. However, Ethan wasn’t aware of the wizarding world until he received his invitation to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Ethan’s father works for the Ministry and his mother is a Headmistress at a local Muggle primary school. Together they raised Ethan, who anchored their relationship to build a family.
Ethan grew up as a muggle child, oblivious to his father’s magical capabilities and career. His father took great effort to keep it hidden from his son until he was old enough to understand. When the time came and his parents showed him the letter, Ethan was struck with excitement and awe, eager to discover the wonders of magic.
Ethan’s parents have also warned Ethan the secrecy of the wizarding world and had to tell friends and neighbours he’s going to a boarding school.
While Ethan was oblivious to magic and wizarding world, he was aware of the accidents he caused. One of which was during his early primary school years and he fought with another child over a toy during playtime. Ethan vehemently declared the toy was his, and so the toy wandered towards Ethan whenever it was separated from him seemingly by its own accord. While Ethan was quite young at the time, that instance hasn’t left him.
Ethan grew up with no brothers or sisters, but he rarely suffered with loneliness due to his parents being there, or if they weren’t he often entertained himself by creating stories and worlds, traversing their plots and landscapes with curiosity. This made him quite the daydreamer and can often be rather oblivious to what’s going on around him as he’s often lost in his own thoughts.

Strengths (At least three, including Personality and Academic):
Ethan is open-minded due to having a creative mind and an artistic perspective on life. He also has strong morals, and follow what he think is right or wrong and quite resistant to being pressured into doing things; he would happily do things for other people, not because other people tell him to do it. Academically Ethan has a natural knack at Potions and Charms. Ethan has always been talented with numbers; his father thinks he would do very well in Arithmancy.
Weaknesses (At least three, including Personality and Academic):
Ethan is an introvert, mainly because he spends a lot of his time alone. While he’s honest about his feelings, it will take him a while to open up to someone. Even then he would be brooding a lot of the time unless distract by something more immediate, be it school work or friends. And of course Ethan prefers having time to himself; be it to do some painting or simply get lost in his own thoughts. So he can tend to be antisocial at times, to the point of being deterred by crowds. Academically, Ethan fails at Defence Against the Dark Arts. Mainly because Ethan’s thoughts are too focused on figuring out different ways to defeat his enemy than quick thinking offensive/defensive spells. This slows his down in duels and becomes a rather stationary target. Ethan also lacks the attention span for History of Magic, and often falls asleep or daydreams during the lesson thus lacking knowledge on the topic. Ethan also isn’t very good at flying a broom as he’s not very assertive at first and his decisiveness makes him lose control.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
I believe Ethan belongs in the Ravenclaw house. While it may not come across intelligent immediately due him being rather distant and inattentive, it soon becomes apparent that Ethan is a thinker and while his words may be few, they are often quite meaningful and echo deeper than the listener first thinks. His talents in the arts show an insight to the vast expanse of Ethan’s mind.
