Brief Childhood History:
Minlee Park was born to a British mother, Victoria Dewhurst, and a Korean father, ChinHwa Park, in Brentwood. Along with Minlee, there was her older brother, by 6 years, Quinn Park. During her first four years of life, her family was relatively happy and well off. Her mother being a nurse and her father owning a small restaurant. When Minlee was 6-years-old her mother and father divorced. While her parents did end up with joint custody, both Minlee and her brother spent most of their time with their father because of their mother working constant night shifts. After the divorce, Minlee spent a lot of her time with elder brother. They grew to be very close siblings, Quinn becoming very protective over her.
When Minlee got her letter at the age of 11, her father was extremely apprehensive about it. After getting over their initial shock, her parents found time to sit down and discuss the entire situation together with both Minlee and Quinn. Minlee, extremely excited about the possibility to discover something new in the world, refused to take no from her parents. Eventually they gave in to her wishes, even Quinn accepted her decision, even though he was worried for her being away from home for so long.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Minlee is a very energetic and friendly person, who's willing to help her friends to the best of her ability. She loves learning all the different sections of magic, including History of Magic and Potions. She is also very determined. She is very determined to accomplish her goals, but she's not so determined that she is stubborn, she knows when to back down and when she is losing the fight. This is a strength both in personal life and academic, because in her personality it means she tries her best to achieve her dreams, and in school it means she doesn't stop trying even if she can't quite get the spell/potion down correctly.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Minlee is a pretty clumsy, not an extremely all the time klutz, but more so of one than most people. While she loves her classes, she has a tendency to “forget” about homework. She likes to procrastinate and put it off until the last minute. Being muggleborn, while not a downfall at all, has made her a little unsure of what she is doing as well though, therefore isn't always confident in the spells she is learning and trying to practice. Also, even though she is a very friendly person, she gets very shy when having to meet someone new or when having to confront someone.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
I feel that Minlee belongs in Hufflepuff. I feel this way because she isn't courageous to be in Gryffindor nor is she focused enough on school work to be in Ravenclaw, and she definitely isn't stuck up enough or mean enough to be in Slytherin. She's loyal to her friends, but it takes her a while to work up the confidence to meet someone. She enjoys school and does her best, except when it comes to homework.
