Brief Childhood History: Stella was born in Blackpool Hospital to loving parents, Marie and Chris, and had a reasonably happy childhood. Her parents were well off and they often went on holidays overseas. Stella’s earliest memory is of a Christmas they spent in New Zealand with Marie’s parents. She loved the cool climate and the wet rainy days, even in summer. She thinks the reason she remembers it so well, even though she was 5 years old at the time, is because she learned how to ride a horse there. It was a tiny old pony that wouldn’t even notice if a bomb went off next to it but Stella loved it all the same. She has been back a few times since for Christmases, Marie does not like the cold of the English winter, but they were never as magical as that first summer.
Stella’s other grandparents live close by and she remembers many summers spent playing with them while her parents worked. Chris’ parents own a farm and this is where Stella keeps her own pony, a palomino called Skysong, which she rides almost every day. There is also her younger brother’s pony, Hercules, who keeps Skysong company when Stella can’t make the visit. Stella and her brother, Stuart, often go for trail rides together around their grandparents’ farm. For the most part the brother and sister get on well but sometimes even Stuart will tease her about her name. Stella often gets teased about her name and when she complains to her parents about it they tell her not to worry about it. Her parents are under the impression that Stella Stanley and Stuart Stanley sound like superhero names like Clark Kent or Peter Parker. Stella just thinks they have a really weird sense of humour.
Stella seems to have a habit of getting herself and Stuart into trouble a lot and many times when they have been on ‘adventures’ Stella has lost her brother or something has happened and one of them has been hurt. She has broken her arm twice falling out of trees when they have been racing to reach the top. Stella and Stuart are just about inseparable and she is very protective of her younger brother who is her favourite play mate. However badly they hurt themselves doing something their parents think is stupid they can always laugh about it later on. Once the crying has stopped of course.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Stella is very loyal towards her family which is very close. She is friendly as well and gives everyone a chance even people who are sometimes ignored by others. She love being outside and going on adventures which are usually very physical and she will ask everyone in sight to come till someone joins her. She is great at the hands on classes like transfiguration, potions and defence against the dark arts because she loves being able to do things. Her great however is not that good because she isn’t exactly smart but she works hard to maintain those grades.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Stella often finds herself in trouble and she is not sure if that is just who she is or just bad luck. Either way it is not good but she can’t seem to stop it. She can be horrible to people who tease her about her name or anyone in her family. She can sometimes be a bit loud because she doesn’t pay very much attention to her surroundings and this often annoys people who are trying to sleep. She is horrible at History of Magic and Astronomy where she just gets given a lecture and is expected to listen. However she is trying to improve this by taking a lot of notes to keep her mind from wandering.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I think Stella belongs in Hufflepuff because she even though she won’t do very well in Hogwarts she will always work hard to improve her grades. She is also a very loyal person towards her family who she cares for very deeply and friends.
