Brief Childhood History: Dawn grew up in the semi-large town of Ipswich, Suffolk, with her Father, Damien, her grandparents, Tjalf and Astraia and their cheeky cat, Mumbles, who thanks his name to his constant meowing when someone talks to him. Dawn showed her first bits of magic at the age of six, when she turned him a vibrant shade of blue and the tip of his tail has never been quite the same. Dawn grew up without a mother, a woman named Jessica who took off when she found her boyfriend was a wizard, leaving her ‘witch baby’ with him to take care of, but this has never bothered Dawn, as she had her father, whom adored her, the love of her grandparents and a few books that served as trustworthy friends. Her father never remarried and focused instead on his job as an auror, something Dawn someday wishes to become as well.
Growing up, Dawn always played around a lot with the muggles in her neigbourhood, though she was always aware she was a bit different then the others and often went back to her books while others went to parties. Dawn never truly minded, but it made her a bit awkward when it comes to expressing herself to other people. Otherwise Dawn is a very bubbly person and has a quick sense of humour. She's also slightly clumsy, but luckily for her, her grandma is a retired healer and always patched her up again when she fell from tries or scraped her knees.
Raised by the sea and her sailor-grandfather, Dawn feels most comfortable when water is near and loves to swim, sail, surf or simply sit by the waterside, whenever she can. Her grandmother only forbid her to do so when she had run out of clothes after she had fallen into the water too many times.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Dawn is very good at transfiguration and charms and is also a very open minded person that loves with all of her heart, once she encloses someone in it, thanks to the liberal, yet protective way her father and grandparents raised her. She's also good with anything that has to do with water. She's also quite brave, when the need for it arises.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Dawn is a very clumsy, sort of awkward kind of person, because she only interacted with those really close to her for most of her life and she hates fire, for some reason unbeknownst even to her. She can be a bit reckless at times, because she fails to see the extend of a situation and she isn't all too great with potions either.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Dawn would probably fit in best with Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, as she is very intelligent and loves to read, yet is very active and brave. Studying is something that usually goes over well with her and she loves exploring all kinds of things.
