Brief Childhood History:
Meljora lived with her mother, Claire Morgan (born Skeeley, pure-blood wizard), in a two-storey house located in a busy neighborhood. Claire was married to Bob Morgan, a muggle pilot of American descent. Meljora spent her childhood out in streets, much to the dismay of mother. Claire had her hands full with her flower shop, and the next authority in the house was lenient with Meljora's penchant for going outdoors. Her father, who worked late hours and was out of the country most of the year, allowed the young Meljora to roam the streets as long as she ensured that schoolwork was already done and she came home before nightfall. Meljora enjoyed sneaking out to play with the neighbors and chasing stray animals in the nearby botanical garden. She greatly appreciated this freedom and was disciplined enough to maintain an above average performance in school.

Bob was privy to Claire's "special abilities", and had always wondered if Meljora would have her own magical inclinations. He advised his wife to keep an eye on their sole daughter, but since Meljora never kept still and was usually outside the house, her talents almost went unnoticed. One of the few things that kept the little child home was her mother's garden. It almost came as no surprise when Meljora was found to have a green thumb like Claire. While little girls her age played tea with her dolls, Meljora kept her own little nursery and took care of a stray cat or two. She grew interested of her mother's garden and became intimate with flowering plants. It took a while for Claire to notice that Meljora's plants took after her own - healthy no matter what the season - a sure sign that her daughter inherited the Skeeley's magical affinity to plants of the earth.

Whenever Bob was away he would exchange short letters with Meljora. She was enamored with his anecdotes and postcards of the world. Meljora desired nothing greater than visiting other countries. Bob promised to take her along when she was old enough, and provided her with books from overseas as presents for the mean time. Meljora was a voracious reader. She loved myths and fantasy tales. Claire introduced the wizarding world to Meljora in the same manner, exposing her to wizards and magic through bedtime stories. Meljora felt a strong sense of connection to Hogwarts, half-believing in the wonderful flora and fauna that her mother recounted to her. Bob and Claire waited with great anticipation for the invitation from the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Meljora was overjoyed when the acceptance letter came a week after her 11th birthday. She stared all night at it, the start of a dream come true.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Meljora's green thumb would greatly aid her in Herbology and her instinctive approach in taking care of plants would easily make the subject her favorite. Because Meljora is easily fascinated by the strange and mysterious, learning Care of Magical Creatures would also be an enjoyable experience for her.
She possesses a charming, smiling face - she speaks in a sing-song voice and rarely feels under bad weather. She is quite energetic, favors outdoor activities and keeps physically fit.
She also likes reading, not necessarily studying, a favorite past time for when she is unable to go outside. Although she would not openly admit, Meljora loves drawing, too - the margins of her books are filled with scribbles and doodles that shall serve as stepping stones to a future artist skill.

Weakness (Including Personality and Academic):
While it could be said that Meljora is bright and smart, she has a hard time conveying her thoughts into spoken words. She does well when within a crowd, but never calls attention to herself. Speaking in public is not among her best qualities, she stammers whenever stressed or nervous. She does poorly during recitation, which is luckily offset because she excels in practical and written examination.
She is quick to bore and is often disinterested with current events and gossip, making History of Magic and Muggle Studies two of her most unappreciated subjects. She hates monotony because it causes her to quickly lose focus and interest. Although sometimes considered fickle, Meljora's indecisiveness allows her room for excitement and spontaneity.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs:
Meljora is most likely to fall into the House of Hufflepuff as she has the propensity for being fastidious and hardworking (when motivated enough). She bears great faith and takes on challenges with enthusiasm.
