Brief Childhood History: Serena was born in Avebury on November 30th to the young couple Elizabeth and Arthur Thompson. She grew up living a wonderful muggle childhood, and was fairly popular, loved by everyone who met her. She stood up for others as well herself. Kids in the neighboring village would bully her and tease her about he odd things that seemed to happen whenever she was around. But, instead of meekly accepting their unkindness, she would retaliate, and soon her tormentors did not bother her, afraid of her sharp tongue and even quicker wit. If someone was hurting one of her many friends she acted in much the same fashion, relying on her brains rather than her brawns to win her battles. Her parents were both professors at a nearby college, and did not have much time for Serena, it was her grandmam who cared for her, tucking her in at night, it was she who raised Serena on fairy tales and local legends.
It was not only her classmates who were her friends. She made friends just as easily with her teacher, mostly because of her smart, kind, and witty nature. When she received her letter she exited was because this was what her grandmam had raised her for, although none of them realized it at the time. Her grandmam urged her to go out and try for herself this magical world that she was now a part of. Serena is looking forward to magical school and hopes she is good at it as she is at muggle school. She hopes to make good friends at Hogwarts and get the best grades she can.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Due to her parents being professors, Serena is very intelligent, not to mention witty. Her grandmam also had a great influence on her and taught her to be kind and brave. She has read all that she can about the wizarding world and thinks that she will be particularly good at the subjects transfiguration,potions, ancient runes, and history of magic.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Because Serena is used to being picked on by people who do not know her, she is quick to pick her fights. Her grandmam, having some irish background, taught her to be stubborn. She is also protective of her friends, as she does not want them to be bullied as she was.
Serena probably will not do very well in flying because she is a tad clumsy, divination, because she does not hold for such silly things as telling the future, and herbology, as she does not care for getting dirty.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Serena belongs in Ravenclaw because she is very intelligent and quick witted, she enjoys to just sit in a corner, curl up with some tea, a good book and read for hours on end. She hopes to find friends that will be willing to engage in witty conversation over a game of wizards chess, as well as stay by her side through thick and thin, she does not care about the houses and how they apply to friendships, she would be grateful to have any friends, even if they are in other houses. Above all Serena thinks her personality/mind type best suits that of Ravenclaw and it's phrase:
