Brief Childhood History: Chelly was born to a pure-blooded father, Lorcan Ryde and muggle mother, Nicole Hoffer and lived in a nice house with her parents and brother, Zain, who was 8 years older. Her father was always away from home a lot, and when Chelly was 4-years-old, she had overheard her mother talking about Lorcan's constant hunting of the Deathly Hallows. One night, Chelly's father came home in a rage, his hunt for the objects had renderred him insane and he turned his wand on his son in his anger. He prepared to use the Cruciatus Curse before Chelly's mother stepped in front of him and took the curse herself.
Lorcan Ryde soon realized how badly he had hurt his own wife and killed himself out of grief. Since then, Chelly's mother was never really quite right and her brother took up most of the burden of caring for them. Chelly spent a lot of her childhood in the forest near her house where she befriended a young Griffon who's mother had been killed by a werewolf. She named the Griffon Syllus and spent most her time with him, soon considering him her best friend.
Zain is basically Chelly's guardian and is able to take care of them from a quite large sum of gold their father left from his job as an auror.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Sense of humor, Chelly is able to take a joke and cause others to laugh. Care of Magical Creatures, Chelly excels in this subject from her years in the forest and hopes to become a magizoologist. Detecting fraud, she is skilled at deciding when others are concealing the truth and normally successful at getting them to be honest.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Loneliness, She can be driven half-mad from being in solitude for a long period of time. Potions, Chelly is absolutely terrible at creating potions, her's usually end up exploding or having the opposite of the intended affect. Sexuality, Chelly is a lesbian, but is afraid to admit it to herself for her muggle mother had been taught that is was wrong and had passed the opinion onto her children from a young age.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Hufflepuff, Chelly is extremely loyal to anyone she gets close to and wouldn't dream of betraying someone who trusted her. She is always honest and trustworthy, never decieving or "iffy".
