First and Last Name: Maria Lexington

Bloodline: Pureblood
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
General Build: Petite
Height: Average

Birthplace: City of Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom
Brief Childhood History:
Maria was raised in the lap of luxury. Her maternal grandfather was a powerful figure in International Conference of Wizards, and his influence afforded his family everything they wanted: the best training, the best homes, the best seats to matches and at restaurants. Her father Jonathan, a politician in his own right, had paid his dues and worked his way up from bit player in the British Department of International Magical Relations to a national voice on the political climate of British wizardry. At his side was always his beloved family: His wife Rose and their adorable daughter Maria. As Maria had done since she was old enough to stand. As she intended to do until she herself was the one standing at the podium. Her devotion didn't waver even when her daddy said things she didn't agree with. Mean, hurtful things. It was her job to support her father, just as he promised to do for her when she was old enough, and she did her job admirably. Her support, and her father's rise, were not without their reward. They quickly outgrew even the modest wealth her grandfather had left them with. Soon, even their mansion seemed cramped and tight. The new one was much bigger. Her “best” teacher was soon found to be much too common. A new one was located.

The big money only became bigger after a big victory earned Jonathan Lexington a seat on the International Conference of Wizards. It didn't show any sign of stopping there: It seemed that Jonathan Lexington was on the fast track to not only be the youngest Supreme Mugwump in the history of the Conference. Nothing could stand in his way, it seemed, until the “misunderstanding” happened. At least, that was what her daddy told her. In truth, she still didn't quite know what it was. Something about the money rise being facilitated through magical fraud. Her father told her everything would be fine, that the whole thing would blow over soon enough and that she would just need to wait a bit. She was still waiting when her father was arrested and convicted. She was still waiting when she and her mother were sent to visit her relatives for a “short while” that turned into many years. She was still waiting by her 11th birthday, when something she had been waiting for even longer finally arrived.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Maria has an excellent memory and as such excels in Memorization subjects: Astronomy, Runes, Potions, History, Muggle studies and so on, subjects that simply required one to read and understand. In particular, she excels in History of Magic, as she grew at her father's knee hearing stories of Wizarding past. Maria has a skilled political mind, having learned the craft from her father, and is adept at gaining people's trust and winning them over, in addition to seeing the potential results of her actions. She is also cool under pressure, not being easily frazzled and being quick to recover even when she is. Even though she is no longer as rich as she once was, she is still very comfortable and wants for nothing in terms of material goods.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Maria lacks any particular skill in spell-casting, her weakest subject (although not by much, since she is pretty bad in all of them) being Charms. She knows enough to pass and get her work done, but constantly lags behind her peers and needs to try twice as hard to even reach an acceptable level. This is a very sore subject for her, both because she is normally not the one in need of help and also because she considers it both a personal failing and a embarrassment to her family. Otherwise, she is at times overly confident in her talents, consistently believing herself to be the only one with the sense to sort out any particular situation and that others would be completely out of sorts within her guidance. As a result, she is manipulative at times, attempting to move people about to suit what she thinks would be "best for everyone."
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
Hufflepuff. Maria is a diplomat, drawing in part from her political upbringing forcing her to always be media-ready, but mostly from a feeling that she knows best. It isn't Slytherin pride, Gryfindor bravado, or even Ravenclaw arrogance. It's more a “Mother knows best” feeling that neither bravery, cunning, or logic are going to solve the issues, but the trust between wizards and witches only a Hufflepuff can properly cultivate. She feels that if the two sides of any issue could just get together, with a large bit of charm on the part of herself and similarly minded individuals, they could work out their issues to everyone's satisfaction.

Heya Maria and welcome to HPRPG~!

However, before we can sort you, we ask that all students be born and raised in the UK. ^^~ Unfortunately, while she's welcome to visit the USA, she cannot be born nor raised in Massachusetts. We're going to have to ask that you go back and remove any mention of that (unless you chose for her to visit periodically or something). <3

Once you've made the adjustment just swap the title from 'pending' to 'edited' and we'll continue with the sorting from there.
