Brief Childhood History: Samantha was born in the small town called Framlingham. She lived in a shabby home with her parents, Andrew and Lisa Kingston. She grew up like any other Muggle child, she went to Muggle school, had playdates, believed in the tooth fairy. All of the regular toddler to youngster type of things.
However, despite her normal upbringing, most adult would notice something different about young Samantha. It was around her that odd things seemed to happen. For instance, one time, Samantha had been put in the time-out chair which was in the corner of the family's small living room beside a book case. She'd been throwing a temper-tantrum, and as her mother turned away to pick up something her daughter had thrown, and when she stood up, she saw the most peculiar thing. Four year old Samantha, in the moment her mother had turned her back, had managed to get herself and the chair up onto the bookshelf. Her mother had whisked her off of the bookshelf and asked repeatedly what Samantha had done, but Samantha merely giggled and told her mom that she poofed up there. (She didn't apparate, haha.)
In her elementary school, Samantha was often teased for the oddities that separated her from the rest of the muggle children. At first, she was sensitive to the mean words other kids would say. But after awhile, her skin got thicker and she learned to retort and talk back to her peers' claims about her.
The string of peculiar events led up to Samantha receiving her letter, which her parents believed to be a hoax. Samantha, however, believed that this school of witchcraft existed with all her heart. Lisa and Andrew had not permitted her to go until Lisa's mother had revealed that she had dated a wizard, and told them all about the magical world. In the end, her parents were convinced enough and young Samantha had her supplies bought and was allowed to go.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Samantha's main personality strength is that she can and does frequently speak her mind and stand by her opinion. After often getting made fun of for her differences among her peers, Samantha simply learned to toughen up. Samantha's best two classes are Charms and Transfiguration, though Charms is what she is best at. A good chunk of the reason
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Samantha's weakness is that she's rather stubborn and sometimes annoying. Since her days of teasing, she's grown attached to her opinions and tends to speak her mind even if not necessary. Potions and Herboligy. She'd never liked gardening much, and quite frankly, some of the plants in Herboligy freak her out. Plus Potions takes too much exact measures and patience, it just isn't in Samantha to be so patient.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I feel that Samantha belongs in Gryffindor, due to her willingness to speak her mind, which would take quite a bit of bravery if you ask me. Also, quite a few Gryffindors in the books tend to be stubborn.
