Brief History: Born and raised in a magical environment, Haydyn grew accustomed to seeing magic being performed on a regular basis. Her mother-a Chinese immigrant- was a muggleborn witch, while her father was a half-blood wizard raised in London. However, her parents encouraged her and her younger sister Hayley to experience the lives of muggle children, and were enrolled in public school.
While Haydyn attended her muggle school, she had trouble making friends as it was evident that there was something unusual about her and her family. Students did talk to her, but never made an effort to get to know her. Even so, Haydyn enjoyed school very much. She went to school everyday with a positive attitude and always came home with new information to share with her family. She was very close to her family and a great role model for her younger sister.
At home, Haydyn loved helping her mother cook, because she got to see her do magic. In her free time she also loved to read books and ask her father questions about Hogwarts. A very curious child, Haydyn would ask questions about anything that interested her nonstop. Luckily with her father being a former Ravenclaw, the majority of her questions were answered and he could share his knowledge with her. Although she would miss her family a ton, Haydyn could not wait until her turn to attend Hogwarts would come!
Strengths: Haydyn is very kind and helpful and she is willing to lend a hand to anyone who needs it. She is also very bright and intelligent and takes her schoolwork very seriously. She is not afraid to ask questions when the need arises. Haydyn enjoys classes that she is good at, so she enjoys Transfiguration and Charms, which are her two best classes, because they require skill and concentration but are still fun once you learn them.
Weaknesses: She tends to get angry and stressed out easily, especially when she's working on her schoolwork. Also, she is very inflexible in her thoughts and opinions. Although she generally enjoys all classes, History of Magic and Potions are her least favorites and thus her weakest. She finds History of Magic extremely boring and she doesn't enjoy the often gloomy feel of Potions (she also thinks that the classroom smells bad).
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Haydyn could easily fit in with all four houses, but with her sense of curiosity and thirst for knowledge, I feel that Ravenclaw would provide a good environment for her, where she is surrounded by others who want to do well. This would motivate her to work even harder, but still have friends who she can count on for help.
