Brief Childhood History: Tomoko is of Japanese descent, her parents moved over to the United Kingdom before she was born. Both of her parents are " Pureblood" , Japan afterall, has its fair share of magic and mysticism. Her clan has been one of the top respected Magical Families in Japan for centuries, so it falls to Tomoko to raise up their reputation in the Western World, or so she is always reminded by her Father, most likely this is the reason why she strives so hard to achieve perfection. Her childhood was fraught with a need to fulfil her parent’s expectations of her.
She was tutored in the arts of magic by her parents, they sought to give her a head-start at Hogwarts by having her learn more than what the average first-year would know, this would increase the chances of her being noticed by her Professors.
Throughout her childhood, she had few proper friends. She would attend the Muggle School and appear to be a gifted student. Given her obvious intellectual advantages, she quickly became the target for bullying. Tomoko was befriended by a classmate who was just as intelligent as she was, and the two got on so well. A muggle girl by the name of Marie Pemberton. She knew Tomoko as a witch the moment they had met, because she had an older brother who was in Hogwarts at fifth year.
Incidents did occur every now and then, such as Tomoko's bullies finding themselves suddenly appearing in the wooded area outside of the school, or cartons of milk flying from the canteen and homing in on their heads. She possessed extraordinary abilities for a witch, young as she was, but when she became the subject of suspicion she was withdrawn from mainstream education.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): She's a brilliant girl with a great head on her shoulders, having been studying magic since she was old enough to read and take it in.
She's very adept at finding solutions to problems, keeping her cool in dangerous or uncertain situations. She's also one determined girl, if she sets her sights on a goal, she will stop at nothing until she can achieve it.
Another strength of hers is that she had empathy for those who suffer, she isn't the sort that can sit back and watch others be picked on, understanding how horrible it feels to be picked on herself. She will try to help out if she can, usually offering a word of advice to the bully; to back off or be hexed.
She's by no means overly brave, but when it counts, she will defend someone at the risk of herself getting injured.
Her areas of expertise are Charms, Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts. She maintains above average grades on most subjects except for one.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Quite a shy girl, very hard to approach and sometimes harder to understand. She tends to be quite random in the way she acts or answers people. She’s also quite socially awkward. She can be hostile towards people who intimidate or irk her, but generally she's quite laid-back and it's hard to get her to lose her cool. But when you do, you'd better run for it, or you'll be oozing goo from your eyesockets with a conjunctivitis curse.
Her worst subject is Divination, as she believes that foreseeing the future is not something that everyone can do if they try. She’s of the opinion that those who become seers were born with that fate.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: She'd definitely belong to Slytherin most of all, her brilliant mind is rivalled only by that of her desire to be the best at everything she does.
Afterall, she's got to shoulder the burden of being a representative of her clan.
