Brief Childhood History: Before Hogwarts, Ashlyn lived with her parents and her two younger siblings (twins, one boy and one girl). Being from a pure-blood magical family, she's grown up around magic her whole life. Her Mother believed all wizards (pure, half, or muggleborn) equal, and as such treated everyone with kindness and respect, something Ashlyn picked up. Her Father, however, believes pure-bloods are the bees-knees, and takes a strong dislike to anyone but.
She was mostly a loner as a child, not having many friends besides the few children her parents set her up on play-dates with, and as such spent most of her time reading with her Mother or going for walks with her Father. She has a few weird habits she picked up from her Grandmother, such as twitching her nose when she gets uncomfortable, or scrunching it up when she doesn't like something being said or done. She loves to read her Mothers textbooks, so she feels this will be an advantage to her when she starts her classes in Hogwarts.
Not having many friends, though, left Ashlyn to develop into a sort of weird/awkward girl, who constantly blushes for no reason and gets nervous a lot. When Ashlyn was nine, other children started to bully her. At first it wasn't too bad, some name calling and pushing, but after a few months Ashlyn was chased down the block by them and had to hide out in her neighbors yard until they left. She's very timid and shy, so getting into a fight and fighting back never appealed to her. Her Mother always taught her that fighting unless otherwise necessary was wrong, something that stuck with her through-out her life.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Ashlyn's Academic strength would have to be Charms, because she finds charms like the Summoning Charm and the Scouring Charm just fascinating. Another, possibly, would be Herbology, because Ashlyn loves plants and enjoys learning how to care for and utilize them. A personality strength would be her kindness, because she'd honestly give the shirt off her back to someone in need. She's also very smart, able to remember almost anything she reads about (unless it's about Astronomy or Potions, she's terrible in those classes and has such a hard time remembering what to do). Another personality strength would be her acceptance for others, no matter what house or family they come from.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Ashlyn is very weak in both Potions and Astronomy, having a very hard time paying attention and remembering what to do. Another class she finds it rough in is Flying, mostly because of her absurd fear of heights and broomsticks. One personality weakness would be how shy she is. It gets in the way a lot, and sometimes even stops her from making friends and having fun. Another would be how often she drifts into thought, because in those instances she tends to bump into things/people or trip and drop something.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I haven't really put much thought into what house I'd like Ashlyn to go into. I feel she'd do nicely in Ravenclaw, as she's very into reading and studying her books. She's also very kind, shy, and polite, another thing I think Ravenclaws are.
