Brief Childhood History:Chase was born in London and raised by his father Jeremy, a (muggle) US Marine stationed in England, and mother Bonnie, a pureblood witch. A few years into their marriage, Bonnie discovered that this muggle she was married to was a headstrong, aggressive, and imposing fiend. Whether it was through intimidation or misleading charms, Jeremy began poisoning the minds of his children at a very young age. Injecting that his will was absolute, making him proud was the only thing that mattered, and following his footsteps was the only route in life that they were to take. Bonnie unwittingly allowed John's (Chase's older muggle brother) mind to be completely succumbed to these ideals, but she wasn't going to make the same mistake with Chase, especially when she discovered that Chase had a lot of magical potential. Behind his father's back, Bonnie began to tell wonderful stories of the magical world, of her childhood, and of Hogwarts. Chase thought these were only fairy tales, but as he grew older, he started to recognize a lot of extraordinary and unexplainable events that were happening around him. His mother's stories began to intertwine with what he was experiencing, and slowly a different life path began fighting the poison his father had implanted in his mind.
Things went downhill quickly when Chase's acceptance letter to Hogwarts arrived. John found Chase's letter and delivered it to his father. Jeremy was furious that one of his sons was abnormal. Bonnie caught wind of what was happening, feared the worse, and decided to intervene. In order to avoid severe confrontations between this now split family, Bonnie cast Obliviate on both John and Jeremy, erasing their minds so that they never knew she and Chase existed. They then promptly left for a hidden, magical home on the opposite side of London, where Bonnie hoped that Chase could pursue the life he was born to have: that of a wizard.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Chase excels at Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms.
Being raised by a military man, Chase is always well kept, organized, studious, well mannered, and has an eye for details. He was raised to respect and fear his father, never to speak unless spoken to, and to only accept respect that is well earned.
He isn't used to talking, but now that he's only living with his mother in a world that accepts him for who he is and wants to hear his thoughts, he's slowly getting used to speaking up. He often speaks through his actions rather than words, but if he feels adamantly about something, he wont hesitate to speak his mind. He may come across as socially awkward for how little he speaks, but the little that he does say is always polite and very confident. He picks his words carefully.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Chase cannot seem to grasp potions. No matter how long he studies, he always seems to fail to concoct the proper potion. As mentioned in his strengths, he is shy and distant. Chase isn't used to speaking his mind, he's used to letting his actions speak rather than his words. Chase is a pushover when it comes to authority. Having been raised to accept all authority figures without question, he has a difficult time ‘rebelling.’
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Though it's a very close pick between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, Chase would be best suited for Ravenclaw. He meets most of the characteristics of a Gryffindor (brave, courageous, chivalrous, little to no fear), but after the incident with his father and brother he has locked himself into shell, distant from most happenings that occur around him. This allows him to see issues from new perspectives and helps him stay unbiased in any discrepancies.
