Brief Childhood History: Stephen Bowie was born on the 14th April. His parents, both muggles, are both scientists working at two different universities. They brought Stephen up in a professional way, teaching him from an early age that things such as the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause did not exist and that instead he should work hard in school.
From this, his parents expect high standards in terms of homework and chores. His parents did not believe in magic, believing there's always a scientific reason for things and this influenced Stephen Bowie, who thought when strange things started to happen to him at the age of 7, that there must have been logical solution. He continued to study at school where he excelled in maths and science and at the end of Year 6, had the highest exam marks of anyone in the school.
During the summer holidays, Stephen was in his bedroom, when the door rang. This didn't surprise him, friends and relatives came and went all the time now it was the summer holidays. What did surprise him was when his parents said "Stephen, there's a person looking for you." They sounded a bit shocked.
All his friends were on holiday. Who wanted to see him?
His question was answered as soon as he came down the stairs, Stephen tried hard not to laugh. A man, wearing the strangest looking clothes, they had ever seen. From that point, the man explained how he was a wizard, the existence of witches and wizards and how Stephen had been accepted to Hogwarts since his birth. All this time, Stephen's parents sat on the couch, slightly dazed. They only started believing him after he changed the coffee table into a bed and back again. That point on, Stephen's life started to change, having been accompanied by the teacher and his parents to Diagon Alley to buy Stephen's essentials, all the time his parents looking as though it was a dream they were both sharing. They managed to get used to it over the summer and went to see Stephen go to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Stephen is a very good learner and teacher. He grabs concepts really well especially the theory sides of subjects. He can also help other people who need help by patiently explaining it to them. In terms of academic strengths, he would excel in the theoretical sides of magic such as Theory Charms.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): While, Stephen is a very good teacher, his main weakness is that he's very shy. He does not like to answer questions in class, preferring to listen. However, this does not seem apparent when he's with his friends, often becoming slightly wild in front of friends. His academic weaknesses would be History of Magic and Astronomy, having never been interested in history or astronomy at a early age.
