Brief Childhood History:
Elena was born in Kingston upon Thames on November 12. Since her parents got divorced she and her two much older sisters lived with her mother Nora on the countryside. Her dad Hank moved to Germany where he now works as a chemist. Even though she is a muggle her mother Nora always believed in magic among other things – like shamanism or the end of the world in 2012.
When Elena was about 8 years old her beloved two older sisters Sarah and Katie had already moved out and so she got used to being treated like an only child.
In Primary School Elena wasn’t all that happy. After she heard the other children calling her mother a crazy woman who though she is a witch Elena didn’t much feel like becoming friends with any of them. At least that’s what she told herself as none of kids talked to her. But the fun she missed at school she made up for in the afternoon when she was spending time with her few but very close friends or family.
Countless sonny afternoons she’d spent with her friend Susan in the forest pretending to be explorers, pirates or even witches. Many sleepless nights when she would have sleepovers. Hours just spent cuddling with the cat and daydreaming about a fantasy world.
And from time to time her sister Katie would read whichever book she was reading aloud to her sister.
Elena actually was looking forward to secondary school very much were she would have been reunited with some of her friends. But before School even started she became her Hogwarts letter.
Her mother was thrilled to say the least and Elena herself also loved the idea of being a witch. Although she was only 11 Elena could sense that her father wouldn’t like the idea of his daughter being told wizard tricks very much and so she just told him that she would be going to a boarding school in Scotland – which was true – technically.
Elena couldn’t really tell if there were much signs of her being a witch during her childhood because to her loving but a bit eccentric mum almost everything was a sign for something. Like when the cat ran away for two days right before she was about to be castrated which meant that she didn’t want to be castrated or it wasn’t supposed to be. It also meant that some time later young Elena got to play with four adorable kittens.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Elena is a very optimistic person but at the same time not naïve. In her opinion it is important to see things as they are and than if you don’t like them but can’t change them change our own perspective.
It is one of her favorite things to do with her day is to help people (by talking to them – not by doing their homework or stuff like that). She likes the feeling that she can change someone’s perspective for the better. Firstly because she really cares about the people around her and secondly because it does give her a feeling of power and control.
Although her strange sense of humor and constant use of sarcasm need some time to get used to most of her good friends consider her a very fun person to be around.
Even though Elena hardly ever was allowed to watch TV she just loved those shows were people or rooms or even houses get a makeover. So I think she will be very interested in Transfigurations. Also Elena likes to cook so I’ll suppose she’s going to enjoy Potions a great deal. When she was younger her dad used to tell her all sorts of stuff about the universe and black holes and even if she didn’t understand any part of it she just loved watching the stars together with her dad.
Astronomy will probably be a nice reminder of this magical moments.
She has always had good marks, although she wouldn’t describe herself as exceptionally smart. Elena is just very well organized and loves it to keep thinks in order. This applies for her room as well as for her schoolwork.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Elena is pretty lazy. Sometimes she gets annoyed with herself because of that. For example when her mum asked her three daughters: “Could one of you help me wash the dishes?”. she wouldn’t do it voluntary.
Although she’s a bit shy. She doesn’t like that much about herself and tries to fight her shyness most of the time. It takes her some time to talk herself into doing things she’s afraid of. Like asking a teacher for advice.
Being almost and ‘only child’ she is a bit self centered as well. Which she herself doesn’t consider a bad thing. Because when everybody takes care of himself at least everybody is taken care of.
Elena might be bad in Herbology because even though her mother kept telling her the names of various flowers and plants and trees she couldn’t get Elena to really care about them. Because of her laziness when it comes to study exact dates she might not do so well in History of Magic. Although Elena simply loves the thought of flying she isn’t so keen about trying it out herself. She’s a little afraid of heights.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
I assume I would put her in Hufflepuff because even though she doesn’t like the thought of hard work all that much her tolerance (which you get if you have the luck to have Nora as your mom), loyalty and liking of fair play would be a sign for her to belong to the house of Helga Hufflepuff.

However, before we can approve you, there are a few things that need editing. ^^

First, can you give us a bit more childhood history on Elena? Did she attend school prior to finding out she'd be attending Hogwarts, what sorts of things did she do for fun, etc?

Second, can you fix her strengths and weakness so they're in paragraph form? The academic portion is somewhat list-like. ^^;

Aaaand lastly, while I know you said it was just a ~mild case of OCD, we actually try to avoid those sort of subjects as they can be sensitive for some people, so I'm going to have to ask that you remove it-- she's welcome to be very organized and such, of course. <3

Once you've made the above changes just change the title from 'pending' to 'edited' and we'll continue from there.
