First and Last Name: Scarlet Sabhir

Bloodline: Pureblood
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Blue
General Build: Petite
Height: Short

Birthplace: Cork, Ireland
Brief Childhood History:Scarlet was born in Ireland to Saffron and Macha Saibhir, two notorious blood purists and excelled practitioners of the Dark Arts. She is the only child of the wealthy, old, Pureblood family. Scarlet has never wanted for material objects or money, although affection from her parents came rarely. Her grandfather, Sage Saibhir, however aristocratic, was always doting toward his only granddaughter. She has no relatives on her father's side, aside from her immediate family. Scarlet has never met or been in contact with any of her mother's relatives, as Macha Saibhir was disowned for her radical beliefs regarding blood purity.

When Scarlet was five, her mother abandoned the family in pursuit of her own interests. The girl was left to be raised by her unruly father and demure grandfather, the latter of which was responsible for the majority of her rearing. Scarlet took to her grandfather, and the two were practically inseparable. Sage Saibhir was responsible for her homeschooling. At age eight, her father was killed during an attack on a Muggle village in southern Ireland, by Aurors who had learned of the blood purists' plans. After the death of her father, and taking into account the estrangement of her mother, custody of Scarlet was given to Sage Saibhir.

Scarlet grew up very close to two Pureblood wizard boys whose families were friends with her grandfather; Keegan O'Connell and Ian Byrne. Together, the three made quite the rambunctious team. The Saibhir family had an extensive collection of dark artifacts, which Scarlet and the boys were often keen to toy with when unsupervised. After an unfortunate event with one of the dark objects, Scarlet's mischievous tendencies somewhat relaxed, in favour of reading about the Dark Arts in her father's library.

Although she took a keen interest to the Dark Arts, Scarlet was never particularly malicious. Her grandfather had once taken a Half-blood as a lover, and Scarlet had received knowledge of the Muggle world through this woman. She found that she quite liked Muggle film and literature, which further promoted her grandfather's point of view on blood purity (which was more accepting) over her father's.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Scarlet has always had the ability to convince people that what she wants is actually what they want, as well. For this reason, she's never had a problem manipulating people into getting what she wants. She's rather charismatic, as well, and possesses a sense of humour passed on to her by her self-deprecating grandfather. Throughout homeschooling, she always showed a particularly strong interest in Transfiguration, although her foremost interest lies in the Dark Arts. She's very intelligent and laid-back, and its hard to instigate her unless you know her weak spots.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Scarlet takes to people few and far between. Generally, she doesn't find other witches and wizards her age the proper caliber for her intellect and attitude, which often alienates her from her peers. She's very stoic, which, although some may see as a strength, Scarlet herself views as an inhuman weakness. Sage Saibhir never properly taught Divination to his granddaughter, as he didn't see much use in the field, and Scarlet is therefore very remedial in this art. She often grows bored and is sometimes difficult to engage. She has no particularly strong feelings for either of her parents, but when people insult her grandfather, Keegan or Ian, she is quick to become angry. When she was younger, she had trouble controlling her magic.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:I feel that Scarlet would be most appropriately placed in Slytherin, given her bloodline and interest in the Dark Arts. She is, however, rather intelligent, so Ravenclaw would do as well. I contend, however, that her Slytherin qualities largely outweigh her Ravenclaw-suited intelligence. She's admittedly cunning, to the point of being manipulative. She has a firm grasp on morals, though she is sometimes willing to suspend them in order to achieve her own ends.
