Brief Childhood History: Charlotte was born to Amelia and Charles Brooke. Her father was a Pureblood wizard, her mother a muggle-born girl, the only in her family born with a talent for magic. Her father was in Gryffindor, her mother in Ravenclaw, and neither saw much of each other during their school career. They met working at the Ministry as paper-pushers in the same department. They were very loving parents and excited to see their child off to Hogwarts.
When Charlotte was nine years old, her mother was part of a horrible accident in the Ministry of Magic. She was delivering a message to the head of a Department when something exploded in the office next door. She was killed instantly. In the two years since, Charles has raised Charlotte with the assistance of her mother's grandmother, Reba Faylan.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Charlotte is very good at Defense Against the Dark Arts. She learns spells and incantations quickly. She is an eager, attentive student, and a fiercely loyal friends. She is not afraid to stick her neck out for someone she cares about, or even a complete stranger. She has a protective nature that, while it can be a problem sometimes, is bound to get her somewhere in the world. She would never betray a friend.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Charlotte has never been very good with writing papers. Though she is a good writer, she hates sitting still, and thinks that it is a waste of time to write papers when she could be learning in a hands-on environment right outside of her door. She also has a bit of a temper. Though she would never shout at a teacher or go off on someone with authority over her; she is smarter than that; if someone her own age takes a jab at one of her friends, they will be sorry. And she does not always use her wand in duels; her fists have seen their action, as well.
Charlotte struggles a great deal in History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Divination, and Astronomy, the classes were much of the works is written, and not so much hands-on or spell-casting.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Charlotte feels quite strongly that she belongs in Gryffindor. She has a ferocity in her that she can not subdue. She loves to protect people; there is a deep drive in her to defend the weaker people who surround her. Her father was also in Gryffindor, and she has always felt that she was more like him than she was like her mother.
