Brief Childhood History: Bailey Battle was born in Inverness, Scotland. Her mother was a very poor artist, struggling to make ends meet while still trying to be happy with her painting career. Bailey’s father was a retired Submarine Captain in the Royal Navy. Her Father, Samuel, met Bailey’s mother, Summer, while on vacation, and they quickly fell in love. Bailey was born whilst Samuel was still in the service, so the earliest years of her life, Bailey was much closer to her mother, seeing as her father was always gone.
Having a Naval Captain for a father had its perks, including the nearly royal treatment she got when with her father on base and the very good amount of money her family had. Together, these two factors are probably the main reason for Bailey’s stuck up attitude. Maybe if she’d had a sibling, she would have mellowed out. Bailey had everything she ever wanted. Her family wasn’t rich, per say, but they had more than enough.
During her primary schooling, Summer had hoped that Bailey would make some friends that would bring Bailey out of her spoiled ways, but Bailey had a hard time making them. Actually, she could have made friends very easily, and many kids attempted, but no one wants to play with a girl who is rude and can count the number of times she’s smiled on her fingers. Instead of focusing on making friends, Bailey studied very hard, and dedicated her extra time to learning how to play the violin.
At age 8, Bailey was presented in a school performance as the key violin soloist, which boosted her ego more than was healthy. Being the center of attention, Bailey wanted more, and went on to try out for the girls football (American Soccer) team. But having never played, she failed miserably. Intensely mad at the coaches and other kids who outshined her, Bailey began to train, practicing hard and running to improve her endurance. The next year, Bailey tried out again, and was accepted as a forward. Her determination to not be outshone again, and to prove to everyone that she was good enough was enough to get her whatever she wanted, it seemed.
At age 10, Bailey was now an accomplished Violin player, a starting forward on her football team, and was also the top of her class in nearly every subject. It was obvious that she was going to go on to great things, maybe even a military career if it was up to her father. But then, a fateful letter from Hogwarts arrived. Bailey could hardly believe what she had read, and her parents thought it was a hoax. A wizard had to visit their home to prove that it was all real. Seeing it as the chance of a life time, Bailey begged her parents to let her go.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Amazing self confidence. Bailey believes she can do anything. She is very logical and strategic, preferring to solve her problems with her mind rather than with her heart. Because of this, she is very good at Potions, which is really just following instructions. She also excels at Astronomy and is fairly decent at Transfiguration. She is a fair flyer.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): She is a loner, preferring to go it alone and hates working with others. She is kind of stuck up, and almost always in a bad mood. Her worst subjects are Charms and Defense Against the Dark arts.
