Brief Childhood History: William grew up in the bustling city of Galway for the first ten years of his life. Despite being adept in magic and graduates from Hogwarts, William's parents tried to imbue as much muggle culture as they could within to William before he was introduced into the world of magic. This was due largely in part to William's mother insisting that only William had the right to choose which life he would rather life: that of a wizard, or that of a muggle. Quickly growing up, it was not long before William was enrolled in primary school.
Being relatively reclusive and introverted, William did not make any friends at his school. Rather, he was the source of constant amusement and a target for rampant bullies. In grade four, the constant abuse William had suffered by those who had bullied him had pushed him far past his breaking point, and it was on one fateful day that William tapped into his magical abilities for the first time in his life. The straps of the backpacks the bullies wore kept on tightening and tightening, placing their arms into a painful vice, until after the young boys' still developing bodies could take no more, the bones in the arms snapped. Terrified at what was happening to the boys around him, William quickly left school for home.
After reluctantly telling his parents what had happened, it was clear to them that William had finally uncovered his magical heritage. Explaining that their son had the capability to make this dormant power manifest and grow at an astonishing rate, the parents informed William of Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Immediately fascinated by the new world placed before him, a world that defied all of the rules he had become accustomed to learning about in the muggle world, William decided that muggle life simply wasn't for him. After private lessons with his parents on the basic knowledge needed to enter Hogwart's for two years, William received his acceptance letter.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): William is loyal and respectful to those who show him the same courtesy, and will stop at nothing to make sure that the friends that he manages to make are safe. In addition, William can be quite humorous when the situation calls for it Due to his time living as a muggle, William has a strong grip on their culture, and feels as if muggle studies will be no problem for him. Having a large interest in defense against the dark arts as well, William hopes he will be proficient enough within the field to become adept in it in as little time as possible.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Even in light of William's respectful demeanor he displays, he shows no mercy to those who threaten to destroy the bonds to others that he holds dear. In addition, William can be perceived as cynical and insulting with some of the comments he makes, while not trying to be so. While not necessarily mean starting a fight, William will not hesitate to end one. Academically, William feels as if he will do the worst in divination or charms, as he did not cover those extensively as he did the other classes.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: The balance between loyalty and aggression towards enemies tend to skew William's favored house in Slytherin's direction; however, it is also possible for him to be sorted in any other house, as he displays qualities that all other houses look for in students (bravery, intelligence, etc.)
