General Build: Average

Birthplace: Castlebay, Scotland (on the Isle of Barra)

Brief Childhood History: Theodore was born five minutes after his twin brother, Leonardo, to Arietta and Ethan Irving. Both parents are fans of history, so the boys got their middle names from the legendary knights of King Arthur's round table. Arietta worked, and still works, as an Italian chef while Ethan's profession lies as a pastry chef at the local bakery of Castlebay, the small town where they still live. The boys grew up together until they were 7, when there parents got divorced. Until this time, the family got along well, and both Theo and Leo learned a great deal in the world of culinary arts, even going so far as to having "Family Kitchen Day" on Mondays.

However, when the divorce occurred, although none of the family stopped cooking, the Family Kitchen Days ended. Theo was sent to live with Dad, yet his relationship with Leo remained as strong as ever. Their parents parted on amicable terms, and Theo spent as much time at Leo and his mum's house as he spent at his own. Unfortunately, the divorce went by so smoothly because Theo didn't really want to face it with Leo. He figured it'd be better just to act like it was no big deal, and hopefully protect his twin brother, in a way, reassuring both himself and Leo that it really wasn't a big deal and that life would go on. Life did go on. Theo attended the local primary school until 11, when he got his Hogwarts letter. At school, he was friends with muggle boys Nathan Donaldson and Caleb Levine, although Leo would always remain both his best friend and his brother.

Growing up on an island famous for it's ferry port (seeing as it's an island), Theo spent a great deal of time swimming, fishing, crabbing, diving.. and much more. He more or less grew up in the water. The fact that his mum worked in an Italian seafood restaurant only increased his love for all things sea-related. In terms of school, Theo didn't particularly care too much about it, but he didn't struggle with it either. He coped fine with average scores, always a tad higher than Leo's, not necessarily because Theo was smarter, but just because he paused to think a bit more and was actually logical about things.

In terms of his relationship with Leo, Theo has always been more of the leader, slightly more logical and simply more practical. Leo may have come up with the ideas, but often Theo had the final say of if they did it or not. He keeps his brother in line, in a way. This isn't to say that Theo doesn't like his own share of fun. The boys have had their fun time mixing people up with their identical twin status. Only their parents, and (usually) Nathan and Caleb can tell them apart. Even after the divorce, which happened remarkably smoothly with minimal hiccups, the two maintained a close relationship. Beyond anything else, Theo's definitely excited to finally go to Hogwarts and live with his brother again.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Theo's always had a more clear head than his brother. He doesn't dive into things as quickly. Unfortunately, when it's in proportion to Leo, it isn't saying much. Still, he has managed to keep the two of them out of some potentially messy and dangerous spots. He has a strong sense of family and being true to what's right. This was part of the reason that Theo was so determined to maintain a relationship with his brother, even when living apart. Fortunately, that wasn't too difficult. The two of them are like two halves of a whole, even with their personality differences. They're both determined to shield each other from the lesser parts of life, another part of the reason that the divorce occurred with neither child appearing to be too upset by it. Also, Theo's definitely quite open and a people person and very easy-going. Very few things faze him. He may not be as loud as Leo, exactly, but he's not a shy wall-flower in the corner either. He knows how to communicate, and he does his best to make people feel at ease. A smooth-talker, in a way (although, he's not using it to pick up girls yet).

Academically, Theo's always just done average. He knows school is important, but he would just prefer to be doing so many other things. He's always faired better with the less creative and more logical classes like mathematics and sciences, so Theo would probably do, not necessarily well, but better, in classes like potions, or those that require precision in wand-work like Transfiguration or Charms.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Unfortunately, despite his relatively clearer head, Theo still does have a tendency to dive into things without thinking too much when his brother can persuade him to. He enjoys having his fun, sometimes even at the expensive of others. Thankfully, this never gets too out of hand. Theo also has trouble trusting and opening up about his internal feelings. He can talk easily with people and be open in that way, but when it's about what he's feeling or things he deems "private", he immediately shuts down. Even Leo has some difficulty getting him to talk deeply about more serious things. For instance, the divorce was never really discussed. Theo just kind of made it seem like everything rolled quite easily off his shoulder. Having Leo there definitely made it easier to pretend that their life wasn't getting flopped over, since Theo had a reason to be strong. It's safe to say that neither brother really wanted to face the more serious reality. It was just easier to ignore the troubles together and go on fooling about, swimming, and causing trouble. Also, Theo is a bit of a kid in the sense that he definitely prefers to be hanging out with boys. He holds firm to the belief of cooties. Girls are just kind of weird. They didn't laugh the way boys did, they didn't swim the way boys did, they didn't cook the way boys did, they didn't have fun the way boys did. Really, not that boys were superior or smarter or anything… they were just more fun, in Theo's mind.

Similarly to his academic strengths, Theo doesn't do terribly poorly in any of his classes anymore than he does terribly brilliantly. But he probably would struggle more in classes like History of Magic, where it's just far too boring. Honestly, how would anyone pay attention in that class and find it interesting is beyond him. School isn't interesting to begin with, Theo figures, and having the classes be boring as heck doesn't really improve his opinion of school or his work ethic.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Gryffindor! For one thing, Theo would die if he was separated from Leo, who would get sorted first due to the alphabetical order of their names, and he would beg the hat to put him in Gryffindor. Also, Theo doesn't really know the meaning of being chicken. He's brave to a fault, although, not necessarily stupid about it. He will think, but in the end, his bravery and sense of doing what's right will overpower the rest of him. Although, in his opinion, doing homework doesn't really fall under that category.

Waiting list, please! <3
