General Build: Average

Birthplace: Castlebay, Scotland (on the Isle of Barra)
Brief Childhood History: Leonardo was born to Arietta and Ethan Irving, and was out into the world five minutes earlier than his twin brother, Theodore, which makes him the elder of the two. As both parents are avid fans of history, the boys were given rather historical names. Even their middles were taken from the legendary knights of King Arthur's round table. The boys' mother, Arietta, works as an Italian chef while their father, Ethan, works pretty much in the same line too; as a pastry chef at the local bakery in the village of Castlebay where they all live. The two boys grew up happily together until at the age of 7 when their parents got divorced. Before that they were like the ideal 'happy little family' that even had 'Family Kitchen Day' on every Monday. Thanks to that and the fact that both parents are chefs, the boys themselves are good at cooking and capable of whipping up simple dishes despite being so young.

When the boys' parents announced that they were getting a divorce, and even though they parted on amicable terms, it came as a big shock to Leo since he thought his family would always be happily together. Despite the suddenness, Leo accepted it without much resistance and was sent off to live with his Mum while his twin brother Theo lived with his Dad. The bond between the twins remained strong though and Leo still loves Theo as much, if not even more because of the separation. He figured that accepting the fact that his parents are no longer together was better than making a big deal out of it. In reality, he just didn't want to worry Theo, hoping that everything will still be the same even though they won't be living under the same roof anymore. Life went on as per normal for them, both attending the local primary school until their Hogwarts letters arrived. Beside Theo being his brother and best friend, Leo was also close friends with Nathan Donaldson and Caleb Levine too; who were often seen hanging out with the twins.

Leo, along with his twin brother Theo, spent a lot of his free time swimming, fishing, diving and cetera, which was pretty normal for boys in their town since they're living on an island surrounded by sea of water. Sometimes he does go running round the wide sandy grasslands and climbing the rocky hills but at the end of the day he really prefers doing water-related activities.

Between the twins, Leo has always been the more brash one and tends to get into actions without thinking through first, and therefore getting into trouble and dragging Theo along with him. However he does know that his brother is the more logical one, which is why he often takes his advices into consideration. Although it doesn't really matters because Theo just mostly goes along with him in the end. Leo really loves his brother dearly though and would go all the way to protect him, even if it means taking the blame alone or picking a fight on whoever dares to bully or even hurt him one bit. All aside, he's just as thrilled as his brother to be able to go Hogwarts and live together again.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): At first glance, Leo may seem like someone who doesn't have good points at all and only knows how to get into trouble, but that is not the case at all. Leo has a strong sense of justice and is rather courageous. He doesn't simply back down even when daunted and would do what he feels is right, although that may or may not be a good thing depending on the kind of situation he got himself into. He's also outgoing and sociable, making it easy for him to make friends. Not only that, he's trustworthy too and someone who can be counted to rely on. Leo is also rather charismatic and a good talker, and knows how to make good use of it. There had been a number of cases in which he had to smooth-talk his way out in order to get out of trouble. Sometimes he uses it on his parents or people to get things he really, really wants, which is quite rare because he's rather easily contented and doesn't take things for granted.

Academically wise, Leo doesn't do too poorly but not too good either. His grades are pretty much rather average, often a tad lower than Theo's because school just doesn't interest him that much. He does however fair better in classes that requires more creativity and less logic, like the arts and languages for example. As for subjects in Hogwarts, he would do fare better in Potions and Astronomy, and later perhaps Ancient Runes when he's allowed to take the non-cores.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Unlike his brother who is clear-minded and much smarter, Leo is nothing but impulsive and reckless. That is not to say he's dumb or anything, because he's not. Yes, Leo can be rather irrational and often does thing without taking thinking beyond what he sees at the moment, and also seldom takes into consideration the consequences of it but that's because he thinks it's not necessary to. He's under the impression that thinking too much is just silly and wastes his time while he can use that same amount of time to take action and 'make a change'. Despite having such different personality from his twin brother, Leo does have similar traits with Theo, like the fact that he's not very trusting towards people and doesn't like talking anything he deemed rather private to others. The only person he would entrust his secrets and life to is definitely Theo, and he would have included his parents but ever since they divorced Leo decided that they can't really be depended on either. With Theo, Leo practically can talk about anything under the sun with him. However, even though the divorcement between their parents had taken quite a great toll on them, Leo never really talked about it with Theo because he would rather pretend that nothing's changed much and they're still the same as before. It was like a silent agreement between them. Which meant to say in a way he's afraid to face reality and therefore goes about ignoring it for as long as possible.

It's a fact that Leo doesn't have any interest in studying, but he doesn't do any worst either. At least he has never failed any of his classes badly. I can see him struggling more with classes like History of magic and Transfiguration however. HoM because it's just so boring and he's never the person to focus ever so attentively on something he has no interest in. Transfiguration because it's so much harder than Charms and other classes, and it didn't help that he has no knowledge of it at all before coming to Hogwarts. Plus he's not really the diligent type of student.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Definitely Gryffindor. Leo may be rather rash and reckless at times, and tends to get into all sort of troubles, but he's really just a playful kid. He does know what's right and what's not, but often than not his sense of chivalry just kicks into place and then he's all over it. If needed, he will stand by firmly in what he believes in and isn't afraid to voice out his own opinions even though the others might not agree with him. He's also fiercely protective of his twin brother, Theo, and will do almost anything just to keep him from harm.

On the waiting list, please. Thank you~ ^^
