Brief Childhood History: Alec is a typical pureblood wizard born to two strong wizarding parents. His parents Charles and Dawn are both highly involved in their jobs which have blessed all of them with quite a nice sum of money. Charles is pretty high up in the Ministry of Magic and his mother Dawn works a desk job at Gringotts. Alec has always been surrounded by magic and his family even has a house elf which he often likes to torment for fun. They all live in a larger estate in London which has been in Alec's family for awhile, constantly being passed down to the younger generation. His parents were so proud to have a son to carry on the family's heritage and stopped having children after him. He has always been quite spoiled by his parents, although they each have their own ideals for him and often push those ideals onto him, not allowing him to become his own person. As Alec has grown up a bit he is starting to get rather annoyed with his parent's constant fussing over him and in result acts up a lot and doesn't have much respect for them. Because his parents are usually busy with work they hired a type of nanny to watch over Alec and to begin teaching him about magic before he attends Hogwarts. She is a very strict, slightly older woman whom Alec detests. He rather enjoys running amuck the castle doing his own thing with Nessa chasing close behind after him. He has always been surrounded by a bunch of rules and its a toss-up if he'll listen to them. When his father comes into the picture however, Alec will listen as he knows father means business! His father is not usually around however, which has allowed him to act up more and more. When he received his owl for school, his parents were so thrilled and made sure to tell him all about the different houses, especially the one he SHOULD be sorted into, Slytherin. Both of his parents were in Slytherin and graduated to be successful wizards so naturally they want that for their son. Alec doesn't really share his parents idea of Slytherin for himself but knows he does not want to be in Hufflepuff. He thinks all Hufflepuffs are weaklings and does NOT want to surround himself with weak-willed people. His parents have drilled into him that muggles are NOT people to give the time of day and only pureblood wizards will go somewhere in the world. He doesn't have too many friends, mostly keeping to himself and entertaining himself. Alec is excited to attend Hogwarts however, so he can get away from his parents and become his own person.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Alec can be very loyal to those he loves, but he'll only give it to those he feels deserve it. He doesn't like to admit it, but he does enjoy reading sometimes as it exports him to a different world. Even though Alec is very spoiled and can get anything he wants, he desperately wants out of his current situation. Mostly deep down he wants his parents to allow him to be his own person and let him become that person. Alec is usually quite well spoken and will always have a good comeback to anything someone says to him, unless of course they are not a pureblood, then he doesn't give them the time of day. Alec will do exceptionally well in Defense of the Dark Arts and Flying for he absolutely loves adventure. His father was on the Slytherin Quidditch team and he would enjoy following suit in that department.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Alec can be a very selfish boy and often only thinks of himself, this can be attributed to the fact he's an only child and has parents who give him a lot of things. He can be short-tempered and gets very upset if he doesn't get his way. Alec gets upset very easily and often has to slow himself down before things get out of hand. If someone strikes up a fight with him he will fight to the end and will not back down. Alec will not do very well with Muggle studies or herbology, those types of classes bore him to no end. He doesn't like to sit still and take the time to learn names, dates, history, or anything of the sort. For fun, he likes to pick on the weaker minded people which turns people away from him and causes him to not have too many friends. This is a weakness because he doesn't feel strong himself unless he can put someone down lower than himself.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:I feel Alec should be in Gryffindor because it would allow him to become more of his own person. So much of his life has been him just following what his parents want him to do and he can really stretch his wings if sorted into a different house than his whole family which have always been in Slytherin. Alec is most definitely a strong-willed boy, he won't back down on his stance for anything. He is also extremely loyal to those he opens himself up to and loves. Alec is also very daring and will go on any adventure no matter how dangerous, or with any regard to the rules.
