Brief Childhood History: Becky was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is the eldest child of Dominic Magliocco, who is a wizard, originally from Italy and Patricia Magliocco (née McDowell) who is a muggle, originally from Scotland. Both of her parents moved to Belfast when they were children and have lived there ever since.
She also has a brother, named Eoghan, who is three and a half years younger. Of course he's a pain and Becky doesn't get on particularly well with him. But they're siblings, they're not supposed to get on with each other, right?
Becky has had a fairly normal childhood, nothing dramatic. Her parents are still together and her mother was very supportive when Becky realised she could do magic. Her father, obviously, was ecstatic.
The only loss Becky has suffered in her life was the death of her grandmother, Rosa Magliocco, her father's mother. She was particularly devastated upon hearing this news and locked herself in the bathroom for four hours, refusing to come out until someone admitted to telling her lies. Eventually she accepted what had happened and emerged from the bathroom.
However, other than this, Becky has experienced no loss and very little pain or suffering in her life.
Strengths:
Becky is rather intelligent for her age, when she's not busy doing something else, she can be found curled up reading a book, whether it be a novel or a textbook, she finds the same about of enjoyment in either. Becky is very strong willed, she stands up for what she believes in and if she believes someone is going against what is right, she won't hesitate to say something to them. Some people see this as a problem, because it makes her seem rather rude, but she disagrees. She thinks this shows that she is a strong person and is not willing to back down.
Becky is developing into a strong witch, even at an early age. Her father has long had an interest in Potions. It was his favourite class in school and he has passed this onto his daughter. Becky would spend hours throwing random ingredients into a cauldron to see what she could come up with and through this messing around she has developed a knack for the subject.
Weaknesses: It's not that Becky isn't a nice person, because she is, well, to her friends anyway. If she doesn't know you she won't trust you, or be nice to you, until you give her a reason to. She's very stubborn, if she has an argument with you she won't drop it, she can literally hold a grudge for years.
She can be rather ignorant as well. Not really caring what other people are feeling, she is really only worried about herself and if Becky isn't happy and other people are? This irritates her right to the core.
Academically Becky is quite good at everything, excelling in Potions and Defense Against The Dark Arts. However she absolutely despises Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures, because she just doesn't see the point in being taught such rubbish, so she pays little or no attention to either.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Becky isn't a pureblood and she is only too aware of this fact. But she feels in her heart she was born to be a Slytherin. She's determined and won't stop until she gets what she wants and she isn't afraid to step on anyone to get where she wants to be. To be a Slytherin is important to her, however she is aware that being a half-blood, she has less chance of obtaining this certain goal. Should she not make it into Slytherin house, she also would be fairly happy in Ravenclaw, due to her academic skills.
