Brief Childhood History: Kali was born in Surrey with a witch mother and muggle father who unfortunately separated when she was quite young. She moved in with mother who moved away from their family home to a smaller three bedroom house in Woking where Kali has spent the majority of her life, still seeing her father on a regular basis. The only siblings she has are those of her father’s new marriage and are all quite a lot younger than her. Her father always tried to convince her that she didn’t want to be a witch, so to make her father proud she always told him she didn’t want to be. Her mother always told her great things of Hogwarts and was distraught when her husband tried to convince Kali otherwise. The day Kali received her letter she was delighted much to her father’s disapproval, which almost instantly put an end to the relationship between Kali and her father.
Kali’s mother has always had a close relationship with her sister, meaning that Kali has always had a chummy connection with her cousin Ellis Tate. Ellis was always Kali’s only real friend, as she liked to keep herself to herself as she was bullied as a young child due to her parents being “different” for getting divorced. The poor girl never managed to recover from the trauma she went through, so always found it extremely difficult to be able to make friends. Due to the bullying she underwent she moved school, which seemed to help boost her confidence as she soon managed to come out of her shell and found a group of friends that she grew to be inseparable from which seemed at the time a good thing, until she had to leave them to go to Hogwarts. Even though she knew she would meet a lot of new people with the same sorts of powers as her she was still sad to say goodbye to her muggle friends. Kali was always one of the smartest in the class; if she did not understand something she would make it her first priority until she did. Never afraid to back down against a problem she faced.
When Kali was not busy enjoying life with her friends, she liked to sit down with a good book, or do a jigsaw puzzle. Her mother would always try to help her but Kali always refused her help as she liked to do these things independently.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Kali was always one to work independently, although enjoying team work on the odd occasion she preferred working by herself. When discussing Hogwarts with her mother she always thought that Potions, Transfiguration and Defence Against the Dark Arts, would be her “favourite subjects”. Along with a lot of her friends she’s into puzzle solving, and beams with pride when she figures something out. Kali is one of the most loyal girls you could ever meet!
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Due to her past Kali has always been a shy girl who finds it difficult to trust people. If struggling with something she often would automatically think pessimistically, even though she could usually do it! Subjects she always thought she’d struggle with are charms, ancient runes and astronomy. Although she's always willing to give anything a try, once.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Ravenclaw. She’s loyal to those she cares about, and will never turn down a challenge. She thinks logically which comes in handy when she’s figuring out problems that she finds. She’s an understanding character in all sorts of different situations.
