Alaska Jones - Approved [H]

First and Last Name: Alaska Jones

Bloodline: Halfblood
Hair Color: Chestnut brown
Eye Color: Pale blue, almost gray
General Build: Average
Height: Tall

Birthplace: Liverpool, England
Brief Childhood History: The parents of Alaska Jones were named Amy and Darren. Darren was a wizard, and Amy was a muggle. The two found each other while travelling Europe, namely Russia. Amy was highly curious in linguistics and therefore familiar and fluent in several foreign dialects. Darren was studying dragons in Russia when they bumped into each other. The rest was history.

Long story short, the couple eventually got married and adopted a love of travelling with one another. Their child, Alaska Jones, was in fact conceived while travelling in Alaska (hence her name) but born in Liverpool. After thinking long and hard on the subject, Amy and Darren mutually agreed to settle down for some time in Liverpool while Alaska grew up. Alaska led more or less a normal childhood. The fact that she was so privileged to have a loving family and good friends made her very naive. She hadn't lived through hardship or suffering. So by the time she turned eleven, Alaska felt she was invincible. With the next few years, she would learn that her preconceived idea that she was untouchable was completely incorrect.

Within the time between Alaska’s birth and her eleventh birthday, her parents noticed that peculiar things happened around her, especially when upset or angry. Darren eventually deduced Alaska had gotten the wizarding gene, though kept it to himself. Amy thought nothing of it until Alaska's letter came. And although somewhat reluctant to sending their daughter so far away, the couple also wanted to begin travelling again. Hesitantly, the two drove their daughter to King’s Cross Station on a misty morning that would change her life forever.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):  Alaska is skilled at Charms. The class comes naturally to her. She is a capable student in general; not perfect, but she’s a bright girl. There’s simply a way about her that lights up a room. Alaska is also relatively adaptable and can fit in to may different environments. She is willing to try anything, even if there's a chance it won't work out.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Alaska does better in classes if she learns things first-hand. So classes like History of Magic are not only hard, but dull in her perspective. Memorizing things is rather difficult for her. Being somewhat naive, Alaska becomes mischievous and gets herself into trouble at times. In her more boring classes, she can get quite distracted. When she is excited, she can get loud and every so often moderately annoying.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I think that Alaska belongs Hufflepuff, just because of her the carefree and light manner. If you’re friends with her, you won’t get left behind. She doesn’t get discouraged easily and isn’t afraid to speak up.

Hi there! Welcome to HPRPG!

Before we can sort you, there are just a few things to attend to.

Firstly, all Hogwarts students must have been born and raised in the UK or Ireland. So please edit that portion accordingly.

Secondly, you say her parents were both muggles, but have 'halfblood' as her bloodline. She would therefore actually be a muggleborn. ;)

Thirdly, can you provide us with one or two more personality strengths and weaknesses for Alaska?

and finally, we leave the decision of choosing a house up to you, so please pick either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff for Alaska to sorted into.

Once you've done that, just change the title from 'pending' to 'edited'.
