Brief Childhood History:
When Penelope was born, she had two great magical parents named Alfred Hawthorne and Marie Hawthorne. Magic was commonly used around her house and she grew up not knowing any other life. She was always taught to value her pureblood status but to never treat others as though they were a lower class even if they were muggle born. Her family was different than most families in a way that they were shy, reserved people from day one, despite the fact that they were quite rich.
Until Alfred, Penelope's father, passed away when Penelope was age 9.
Everything happened so fast, and because she was the eldest child, it meant that she was going to be taking the role of father around the house. She set out to keep herself busy and with her sister, Quinton, as to keep out of their mother's way. It wasn't very hard on her mother, in fact Quinton and Penelope assumed she was better off this way, because she got things done faster and more efficiently.
Around her home there were two or three other magical families with girls their age and a few that would be going to Hogwarts with her when the letter of admission arrives.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Penelope is a very loyal friend who is not afraid to stick up for a friend and always be there for them. She has nerve, if she doesn't like someone, she simple will ignore them and walk away. Not to be confused as 'Rude'. She excels in Potions class, as well as Charms class due to natural ability and inheritance. She had a set of 'potions' as a young child, it was actually a muggle set but she took to it very well and Potions looks very promising. Now charms her father taught in a wizarding advanced learning class. His tutoring was for witches and wizards who would be attending Hogwarts within their lifetime and he would explain and show the students how to use the different spells. However, the students were not aloud to practise anything, just learn the basics.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Penelope can get attached to someone very fast which isn't always good. She's clingy, and sometimes she would just prefer to stay around reading a book all day than go to classes, and so, she does. Her worst two classes are Herbology and Muggle Studies due to the fact that Penelope never really developed an interest in plants and sees no reason to study the strange habits of muggles, seeings as she never grew up in a muggle environment or household.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
Penelope would no-doubt excel in Gryffindor. She's loyal, chivalrous, she values courage and she has a ton of nerve, just like any true Gryffindor has. Although Gryffindor has stayed mostly through every witch in her family, but her fathers family was a line of pure Slytherin and she does not want to be in Slytherin because it would bring back so many memories that she had tried to keep out.
