Brief Childhood History: Billie was born to Justina and Dorian, a witch and wizard living in London. Bearing a child was the most magnanimous thing Justina had done for her best friend, as friendship was the furthest their relationship would ever go - she gave birth to Billie for Dorian and his husband Owen, a Muggle classical musician. Justina, more than happy to be a surrogate and help Dorian start a family, has been a part of Billie's life ever since as a defacto aunt. Billie has always been aware of her familial situation, showing a maturity and precociousness towards the circumstances that would later be a testament to her intelligence. Because of this background, she is accepting and open-minded.
Although technically pure-blooded, Billie grew up in an environment both magic and Muggle oriented. She attended a private academy for her primary education. Despite getting along well enough at school and making several friends, Billie preferred to cordon herself off in her bedroom and read instead of playing with her classmates - not because she lacked the will to be social, but loved the companionship of books. She soon came to love the thrill of being completely engrossed in a story, Muggle fantasy novels being her favorite genre despite well knowing thanks to Dorian that their content was complete rubbish, really.
Her parents made sure growing up that she was totally exposed to many aspects of education, equally magical and Muggle in nature and initiating Billie's love for school.
At eight years old, Billie started to exhibit the signs of magical abilities, shattering glasses during the occasional adolescent temper tantrum. Her Hogwarts letter was no surprise to Dorian, and the source of giddy excitement for Owen.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Bright and inquisitive, Billie developed a hunger for knowledge well before being invited to Hogwarts. She's a voracious reader, a lover of learning and perfectly at home in the classroom. Due to her upbringing, she is very comfortable with herself and confident. She has a quick wit and a sharp tongue to accompany it. She would excel at Potions, History of Magic, and Charms.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Billie at times has issues with keeping her opinion to herself. Her attitude can have the undesired effect of seeming snobby or cool towards her classmates. Her sometimes chilly exterior is a front for her overly sensitive nature. Tending to take things to heart, Billie is one to turn up her nose or outsmart someone than admit fault or error. More than anything, she dislikes looking foolish or ignorant. Though she would rather not care to admit it, she would struggle with Herbology and eventually Care of Magical Creatures.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Billie is best suited to Ravenclaw. She sees Hogwarts as an entirely academic endeavor.
