Rick White- Approved [R]
« on: 25 Jul 2011, 05:52 pm »
First and Last Name: Rick White
Bloodline: Half-blood
Hair Color: Blond
Eye Color: Blue
General Build: Average
Height: Short
Birthplace: Birmingham, England.

Brief Childhood History: Rick was born on January 17Th to a fairly well-off married couple. His mother, Valerie Woods, was a chef for a catering company and also happened to be a muggle. Her other two sisters were witches though, so she was well-acquainted with the magical world. She eventually met Harold White, a Healer-in-training, and here we are (although he's no longer in training.)

Rick was a rather happy child, laughing more than he cried and once he learned to walk was forever running about and getting into things. As he grew older, he loved being outdoors and was constantly climbing trees. Rick's mother was a stay-at-home mom until he was six and they were the best of friends. They lived in a rather out of the way area, near enough trees that you could almost call it woods. While nothing really lived there, Valerie was always afraid that Rick would get lost in there and end up getting hurt. Since yelling at him seemed to have no effect, she tried teaching him to read chapter books. It worked fairly well, until he realized that he could take the books with him into the trees he loved so well. From there, he developed the habit of sitting in trees whenever he cared to read a book on a sunny day. His father, while not around as much, was immensely fond of the boy and would often take him on day trips to the zoo and such. When he was six, he begged his father for a puppy. At first Harold said no but eventually got him a golden shepherd puppy, thinking it'd teach him some responsibility. From then on the two were inseparable. Rick named the dog Max and they spent many afternoons roaming the "woods" together.

Rick went off to school at the age of five, with many tears shed between both his mother and him. His first year of school went fairly well although he was more than a little awkward given his rather low exposure to other children. As the years went by, he proved to be a smart child although he had a little trouble with others and was very prone to not doing homework. Rick knew about magic for his entire life and was SURE he was going to go to a school for magic anyway, so what did math matter?

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Rick is a smart child and loves to read and learn new things. He's a generally happy person with an even temper and very little upsets him. Rick loves animals and plants and is generally more comfortable with them than with other people. After watching his father make his car keys fly across the room, Rick has been determined to be good at Charms.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Rick is a smart child and never had to try very hard at anything. So he's gotten pretty lazy and is not inclined to try something again that he failed at. He is also fairly easy to distract and more fond of trying his own theory than others. If a book says to stir a cauldron three times to the right, he'll often go Left just to see what happens. Rick is also pretty shy and uncomfortable with other people. He once got in a fight at school (he lost terribly) and has been flinchy and not at all fond of confrontation. He's very likely to agree with someone if only so that they don't disagree. Rick is absolutely unafraid of heights, having been up a tree most of his childhood, but he is terrified of flying. His father had him try out a broom once and after getting three feet off the ground, he burst into tears and jumped off.

(Figured I'd put a class list here, just in case. +Herbology, Charms, Care of Magical Creatures  -Potions [with a possible improvement as he gets older and more focused], Defense Against The Dark Arts. Transfiguration is going to be a rather average class. Not sure about any other third year classes yet (minus CoMC of course) Can edit this bit out, just thought I'd specify.)

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Ravenclaw. Rick has a lively brain and is always learning and trying things in a different way. While he isn't very brave or ambitious, he is a firm believer in honesty so he would also do well in Hufflepuff. Although Ravenclaw is still first choice.

Hi and welcome to HPRPG :D

Your sheet looks great, but unfortunately Ravenclaw is closed at the moment.  :gonnacry: So, I'm going to go ahead and put you on the waiting list. It usually doesn't take long for a spot to open up. Especially these days since we're getting a lot of new members.

If you'd rather not wait, though, you can reply here with another house choice, and we'll get you sorted ASAP!

all my love for Tany

Sure, I can wait. Heck, I figured I'd have to edit that sheet several times before it got approved anyway.
