Brief Childhood History: Serenity was born on to Philip and Nicole Martinez. She grew up in a strict pureblood family. The youngest of four, and younger by at least eight years, Serenity's siblings have long since left home. Her older brothers come home to visit once a week, usually on the Monday, and devote their entire visit to entertaining and playing with their favourite sister. They would do anything she wanted.
Serenity was home schooled as her parents wished to keep her safe from the world. Her parents were trying to shelter her from any wrong or bad things. And by constantly telling her fairytale stories were trying to keep her innocent as long as possible. They worried she would be too delicate for the real world. This did mean Serenity had a very solitude childhood. She was forced to use her imagination to entertain herself when her siblings were away. Serenity had a vivid imagination and could create whole world in her bedroom.
Serenity was content with her upbringing. Her mother made lessons fun as she could. Not knowing any differently she simply assumed that everyone was not allowed to leave the house until there eleventh birthday. That and she did not know what she was missing as she had never experienced it. She did get distracted during lessons as she dreamed of whatever game she had been playing. This frustrated her mother who knew she could be intelligent if she applied herself.
Despite how happy she was Serenity did wonder sometimes when she was waving goodbye to her brothers if there was something more out there. What the world beyond the iron gates looked like. She was never told why she was not allowed to go out she was just not. It was a rule that had always been there. Things changed when ever Hogwarts letter arrived however. She had not really noticed the magic she had been showing signs of growing up. She assumed it was part of her imagination. But coming from a pureblood family she had been told a little bit about Hogwarts. She was excited to be going and ready to experience the world. She almost was not allowed but her brothers convinced her parents that would be the best place for her to learn and grow. Morse importantly they could not protect her forever. So with sadness mingled with pride they offered to let her go.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Serenity is a good person. She can find the beauty of goodness in every situation no matter how dark. She is a valuable friend to have because her ability to always find the silver lining can be uplifting. She is trustworthy and loyal. She will never betray or hurt anyone. She would be good at charms because she loves the grace and complexity of a charm. She adores watching her mother do them. Her imagination also helps with such things as charms. She would be good at herbology because she has a natural affectionate and gentle side.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Serenity is naive, innocent, and altogether far too trusting. She can be frustrating as she is intelligent but the fact she drifts off into her imagination prevents her from being good at any theory based learning. She can be annoying in her innocence sometimes. She would not be good at defence against the dark arts because the subject frightens her. That is her other personal weakness, her sheltered upbringing leads her to be frightened easily. While she may trust a person it might be through fear as much as naive affection.
