Brief Childhood History: Miroite was born to Anne-Marie and Christophe Duneige on Christmas Eve. She has an older sister, Serelya, who was at Hogwarts for the first few years of her life and then lived in France for the next several years. In spite of her infrequent presence, Miri adores and idolizes her sister. She also has a cousin, Corinne, whom she loves almost as much as Sere, and who was there considerably more frequently, having lived with the Duneiges in England for several years.
Her life has been more or less uneventful. The entirety of her family being of French origins, she is fluent in both French and English; every summer her family goes to France to visit the rest of the family. She was taught at home, some by her mother and some by a hired tutor. Living in a muggle community, she has made friends with several of the muggles in her neighborhood. She is sad to be leaving them behind, but far more excited to finally be following her beloved older sister to Hogwarts.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Academically, Miri will find that Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts come surprisingly naturally to her. In terms of other things, she is an exceptionally friendly and outgoing young girl who will get along with just about anyone. She is goal-oriented and extremely hard-working; once she sets her mind to something, she does everything in her power to complete it. She is also fiercely loyal to anyone she calls a friend.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Miri believes potions to be the bane of her existence, followed closely by History of magic. The former she simply cannot do; the latter she might succeed in if she ever found the desire or ability to remain focused, but that is unlikely to ever happen. That correlates to an overarching weakness of hers: concentration. She gets very easily distracted, particularly when something more exciting or relevant catches her attention. She is also woefully naïve, willing to believe just about anything said by anyone, especially anyone older than her. She assumes the best of everyone, even well past the point when they’ve proved otherwise.
