Annie Irming - Approved [H]
« on: 02 Jun 2011, 06:16 pm »
First and Last Name: Annie Irming

Bloodline: Half-blood (Father was a wizard)
Hair Color: Light brown
Eye Color: Dark brown
General Build: Average
Height: Short

Birthplace: Exeter in Devon County, England (right by Dartmoor National Park)
Brief Childhood History:
Annie was born to Chip and Maxie Irming. Magic was a normal part of her life as was keeping it secret, as from birth she was acquainted with her father's magical abilities and from the time she was old enough to understand, she knew they were to be kept a secret. She still loved telling her best friends in grade school, and the girls played along with her, but no one ever took the idea of magic seriously.

While not exactly a social butterfly, Annie had a fun childhood full of giggles and slumber parties. When she and her friends grew older, her father would often take them into Dartmoor for weekend hikes and occasional camping trips (chaperoned by Mrs. Irming). Annie loved the mystery of the moor, and liked to envision spectral black hounds on the top of every tor. Annie enjoyed reading and was an active participant in the book circles at her school.

As the years went by and Annie grew closer to her unspoken deadline of eleven, Annie had to do something about her friends. She asked her parents if she could tell what she and her father were; they of course said no, but Chip did sit down to work out logistics. Annie was going to a special literary-focused academy in Scotland. She had always excelled in creative writing and critical analysis of books. Letters to her friends would be enclosed in letters to her parents, and she would have a large supply of Muggle envelopes, pens and paper to write them with.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Annie is loyal to her friends, honest, and open. She does not have a deceptive bone in her body and is rather naive at times, which endears her to as many people as it annoys. Her academic skills would be in Charms and Care of Magical Creatures, because she loves the fantastic and the truly magical (which is how she views Charms), and her love for animals would make her a good student in Care of Magical Creatures.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Annie's naivety can make her a target for less than kind students, including some of the boys back home who loved playing tricks on her. She also has a touch of procrastination despite how she is a hard worker, which makes her nervous about deadlines. Her worst subject academically would be History of Magic. Not because of the topic, because she enjoys history in all its forms and fashions, but because Professor Binns is so dull. She cannot stand his droning voice and boring, routine approach to the subject.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Annie belongs in Hufflepuff. She is fair and loyal to her friends, and while she may not know much yet (that's what school is for after all), she is a hard worker and willing to learn. She is not overly outspoken in her personality so would do well in a House that is more mellow and tolerant, where she could focus on her studies without trying to outdo everyone or trying to get in as much trouble or possible.
