Brief Childhood History: Daniella was born in London, but her national backround is entirely French. She's an only child, and was born into a very rich pureblood family. She's VERY proud of her French backround and her pure bloodline. However, she doesn't find it difficult to accept muggleborns or half-bloods.
Many people tend to feel threatened by her somewhat arrogant and direct manner. She sometimes appears antisocial because she tries to avoid people of low intelligence, and has a sharp tongue and quick temper. When her letter of acceptance arrived, she was excited but appeared very calm and collected. Her parents were worried that she would have a hard time in a school, because everything she'd been taught was from a private tutor that chose to teach in the household.
She has had many friends, but never let's anyone get emotionally close to her due to longstanding trust issues. She's always been intrigued by the various animals and creatures whether magical or not, and many say that she has a gift when it comes to handling them. Her manner often gives people a sense of ease because she always seems to take control of the situation, whatever it may be, but she's secretly crying on the inside. The only evidence of this is on her hip, but she'd never tell anyone that. But deep down she realizes that the scars of her past will be with her forever, and that one day she may actually find someone who will listen. Most of her emotion is channeled through her writing, giving her enough of an outlet to hide the truth from others.
Daniella works hard to mask her emotions, and plans to keep them suppressed. A practiced liar and actress, she can fool almost anyone with a fake smile and nervous giggle. Relatives sometimes tease her for her interests in reading, writing, poetry, and music. Her instrument of choice has always been the oboe, but she has mastered many others. Everyone has secrets, but hers can be overwhelming at times, and she takes comfort in her talents and interests. When that's not enough, she resorts to physical exercise. Running never killed anyone, and it makes an excellent distraction. But a quick smile can hide a deadly past...
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Quickthinking, she always seems to have a response. Add in a sharptongue, intelligence, and a competitive, passionate spirit and you have Daniella. She has a nasty reply ready for whenever the need may arise, but knows her limits. Daniella is fiercely protective of those she loves, and won't back down to a challenge.
She excels in Potions, Dark Arts, and Care of Magical Creatures. Often finding that the most useful spells are taught in the Dark Arts class, she is always attentive and open to anything the professor has to say (unless it challenges her prior knowledge). Potions have always intrigued her, and she pays close attention to the minor details of a (for lack of a better word) recipe. It's taught by her favorite professor whom always seems to have something to hide. This reminds her vaguely of herself. A nature lover, she adores Care of Magical Creatures. She finds it easier to connect with a creature than with a person, and can sometimes be caught talking to them.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): She often finds it hard to control her temper and mouth. This she considers to be her fatal flaw, as it's often her undoing. Passive aggressive when it comes to many comments about herself, she becomes very outraged to hear something said about a friend. A seemingly good trait, it's more of a double-edged sword because it can, and has, lead to fights and large amounts of trouble. Her vanity and arrogance also leads to disputes, and her tendency to hold grudges has ruined what could've been many friendships. She's not good at apologies or forgiveness.
Daniella is terrible when it comes to Divination, Astrology, and Herbology. She feels that what's going to happen will happen, and predicting it can rob you of valuable life experiences. So why bother with Divination in the first place? As for Astrology, she's never been able to tell one star from the next and cannot for the life of her find a single constellation. She can't even be sure which one is the North Star, let alone figure out how to read the skies. And she's never been fond of plants after a tragic childhood incident with a certain pet cat and Devil's Snare...
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I feel that she belongs in Slytherin because of her sly, cunning, and charismatic personality. She's not afraid to get what she wants by playing dirty, and fits in well with the vain and arrogant. She can get almost anyone to tell her what she wants to know while refraining from telling them anything. She's also an excellent liar.
