Brief Childhood History: Tanner had hardly anything to complain about as a kid - he grew up in a loving, faithful, tight-knit family consisting of his mother, father, and older brother. His father was a goofy, dorky, scatterbrained excuse for a Muggle and his mother a stern, yet loving witch. Tanner and his brother Seth are about ten years apart in age, and for as long as they can remember they've had a close relationship. Tanner admires him greatly.
As a kid, Tanner enjoyed running around and staying active - any kind of sport which required running and substantial amounts of energy was automatically a favorite of his. Lacrosse was his particular favorite, and eventually promised himself that one day he would start his own team and get famous worldwide.
Upon turning eleven, Tanner was nearly bouncing off the walls in excitement - he'd be going to Hogwarts, just like his big brother, his
idol. Seth and their mother took him out to purchase his robes and school supplies, beaming with pride at the beginning of a new wizard in the family. His father, even though having been through such a trip once before, was confused but nonetheless just as excited and happy for his son as he would be if he were the one going off.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Athletic and agile, Tanner's main strengths lie in sports and physical activity - he is very fast and nimble, and isn't too shabby with a bat, either. As a person he is very headstrong and determined - a go-getter. When he wants something he'll stop at nothing to get it, even if it'll take everything he has. Confident in his abilities, it's sometimes his gumption that gets him through his hard times alone, come hell or high water. Good classes for Tanner would include Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Flying.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Sometimes Tanner's confidence came come off as cockiness, or even narcissism. He talks big, bigger than he has room to - and that has gotten him into more than one sticky situation. He also has a tendency to be overbearing and clingy to his friends, as he is eager to join a group and perhaps even show off a bit. He's also rather lazy and hates to study, and would much rather romp about and get into all kinds of shenanigans. Bad classes for Tanner would be Potions, Herbology, and Charms.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Honestly I feel Tanner would fit into Gryffindor just fine - he's strong and capable of handling himself, and rarely backs down from a fight. He's more than aware of his good qualities and he takes pride in them. While his actions may often be questionable in sensibility, his heart is always in the right place, and he is noble and ready for action pretty much 100% of the time.
