James Burton - Approved [G]
« on: 14 May 2011, 02:33 pm »
First and Last Name:James Burton

Bloodline:Half-blood
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
General Build: average
Height: average

Birthplace: Glasgow
Brief Childhood History: James was born to Seamus and Alice Burton in Glasgow, Scotland. He grew up quite happily with a lot of friends at his muggle school. His mother told her father that she was a witch only about a year before James went to Hogwarts. James had a lot of friends growing up, he was always the one who would stay over at friends’ houses all the time. He’s an only child because his father isn’t interested in having more children. James has always liked the fact that he’s an only child because it got him all his parent’s attention and love.
The first time his magic showed was at home when his mother was in an argument with his father about something that wasn’t very important, and James accidentally broke a few windows by yelling and telling them to stop. This was when Alice had to tell her husband that she was a witch. James saw the relationship between his parents change because his mother had kept a secret from him for years.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
James is a good flyer and wants to be keeper on the quidditch team. He’s shy around girls but when he befriends them he will do anything for them. That generally goes for all of his friends. In classes he’s usually quiet but isn’t necessarily paying attention or taking notes. He’s quite good at charms and transfiguration because he’s a type to really do stuff instead of just learning it.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
James, like any boy has problems with concentrating on theory that he needs to learn. This causes him to be weak in classes like History of Magic, Defence Against the Dark Arts because they have a lot of theory and less practical stuff. A down side to his always wanting to protect his friends is that it often makes him unable to think about the consequences.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
I think that James would fit best in Gryffindor for his tendency of being brave on the verge of stupid. He’s very loyal especially to his friends and wants to protect them from everyone. Books aren’t most important to him and he’d rather practise his spells and magic than reading about what he could learn. (Waiting list is fine)
