Brief Childhood History:
Aaliyah was brought up by her mother and father outside of London in a large mansion, hidden away from muggles. She comes from a large family and has always been surrounded by her own family along with many other wizarding families. Due to this Aaliyah already had many witch and wizard friends before coming to Hogwarts. Aaliyah grew up in the wizarding world, finding the muggle world ridiculous and laughable.
Aaliyah comes from money. Anything she wanted her parents would get for her, yet her parents always felt distant. Her parents had high positions at the ministry of magic, and were always very busy. She never felt as though she could just go up and hug her dad, or tell her mom anything. Since her parents were always so busy she relied on her friends which became a habit of hers.
Other than learning to read and write, Aaliyah did not have any real education before coming to Hogwarts. Everything she knows to this day is from interacting with her friends or eavesdropping on her parents conversations.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Aaliyah has a strong personality, making a large first impression everywhere she goes. With people she gets to know she is especially loud and bubbly. Aaliyah enjoys the company of the opposite gender, getting them to do her every will. She enjoys causing trouble and does so very often. Although she causes much trouble she seems to cause she rarely gets caught for it and is always still well liked and popular. She also has a way of making teachers like her even though she may not be the strongest in their classes.
Aaliyah is very good at spells in general. She knows spells far beyond her years and can cast them with such accuracy people years older than her wonder how she does it. She is also exceptionally good at memorizing spells and takes satisfaction in knowing more spells than the other students in her classes. Also she has very good timing while duelling and an instinct of knowing what spells to cast and when to cast them. Since she is very good at casting and memorizing spells she exceeds in classes such as Defence Against the Dark Arts, Charms, and Transfiguration.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Although Aaliyah is especially good with the opposite gender, she is very timid when talking to girls other than her few close friends. Many of Aaliyah’s friends are older because she finds girls her age immature. Once Aaliyah makes friends she is very dependant on them and is scared to go anywhere without them. People see her as a very confident young woman, but in truth she is the opposite. Aaliyah falls in love easily and gets hurt often because of it. Her parents disliked muggles and muggleborns, and the trait was passed onto Aaliyah.
Aaliyah never thought it was worth her time to study. Instead of studying she would spend her time socializing with the opposite gender. Although she excels at hands on learning, when it comes to memorizing history or facts she is hopeless. In classes such as History of Magic or Astronomy she cannot seem to be successful no matter how hard she tries to learn.

What House You Feel You’re Character Belongs In and Why: I believe that Aaliyah Reid belongs in the Slytherin house. Every witch and wizard in her family was sorted into Slytherin. Aaliyah is very ambitious. She has a secret jealousy of anyone who outperforms her magically. Not only is she is extremely driven, she is also resourceful and cunning. Aaliyah knows what she wants and always finds a way to get it.
