Brief Childhood History: Brooklyn (Brooke) was born to Michael and Christine Whitaker. Michael Whitaker grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He joined a study abroad program and that's when he met Christine. They both went to Oxford University. Christine was studying literature and Michael was majoring in history. They married young despite pressure from both sets of parents to wait. Their first born was a boy named Jonathan. Four years later Brooklyn came along. Michael always loved the city that was his home for so long. When his wife suggested the name Brooke for their daughter, he immediately agreed, but gave the suggestion that it was to be a nickname and that her full name would be Brooklyn. Now they both teach at the school. The Whitaker family resides just outside of Oxford to make for an easy commute to the college, but still have some space around them. Brooke's grandparents (her mother's parents) live down the street from the Whitaker's. Countless days were spent with her grandmother while her parents were at work and her brother was at school. You see, Brooklyn was homeschooled ever since kindergarten. Weird incidents used to take place in school. The other children used to tease Brooke. She couldn't understand why they didn't want to play with her. The truth was they were a little frightened. Strange things always seemed to happen when they played with Brooke. Toy trucks would drive themselves and crayons would change color. Of course, the Whitakers, being muggles, had no idea what was going on and thought it best to remove their daughter from the school where the other children seemed to have it in for her, telling lies to teachers and such. Brooke didn't mind, of course. She loved spending the days with her grandma, baking and doing her schoolwork.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Brooke is very smart. Her Grandfather often tests her with riddles whenever he visits. She has a very bubbly personality and is extremely outgoing. Having grown up following her older brother around Brooke is very good at sports. She's fast for a small girl because she is so used to having to run from Jonathan when he is trying to catch her to tickle (torture) her. She loves to read and soaks up everything she can from a page. She also has an excellent memory. She can remember dates and numbers like her head is just an endless database of knowledge. Birthdays never go unnoticed by Brooke.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Although she is book smart, Brooke often isn't very street smart. She has a lot of, for lack of a better description, blonde moments. She also has a hard time paying attention. She gets distracted very easily and is often jittery when asked to sit still for too long. She is also very opinionated and says whatever pops into her head without thinking it through first. She has a hard time following instructions. She likes to surge ahead at her own pace. Many a science experiment went wrong that way. Her grandmother's table was never quite the same after a particular explosion...
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: My first thought would be Ravenclaw, but it's full, so I think probably Gryffindor? She's not afraid to be seen or heard and never has a problem standing up for what she believes in.
