General Build: Petite

Birthplace:  Chelsea, UK

Brief Childhood History:

Valentina Callaghan is the daughter of the wealthy Victor Callaghan, and his wife, Elisabetta. She has two older siblings – twins, Vesper and Elliot. As the youngest in the family, she’s babied by her older siblings and parents. She’s always gotten what she’s wanted, and nothing else.

Victor Callaghan owns a bottled water business and has stakes in several other companies. He’s always provided wonderfully for his children, but he’s hardly ever home, leaving them to their mother’s care. Elisabetta, however, cannot be bothered by the more delicate tasks of child-rearing (cleaning up vomit, changing diapers, etc.), and isn’t very hands-on. She is, however, careful to dress her children in the latest fashions and bring them to all the events they should attend.

As the editor-in-chief of a high-end fashion and lifestyle magazine, Elisabetta decides what’s in and what’s not in the wizarding world, and is very strict when it comes to her children misbehaving themselves. She cannot afford a scandal, and keeps a tight leash on all three. Vesper and Valentina both take ballet lessons once a week, whereas Elliot takes fencing.

Whenever the fashion weeks come around, sometimes, the children are left at home all alone. This is when her older brother Elliot takes charge. The eldest of the three (by eighteen minutes), he’s always felt the need to protect his pretty sisters. He keeps them in line, decides what they do, and sometimes even demands trips to the park for the three of them. For this, Vesper and Valentina love him, and the three are very close-knit.

Valentina has grown up in a world where wit and gossip fuel the universe, and sharp tongues and killer looks are more important than good grades – or even blood purity, for that matter. She’s always been that one kid in class who attracted everyone by sheer presence, and even if people don’t always like her, she never finds herself lacking company.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):

Personality-wise, Lena’s greatest strength would be her wit and charm. Never lacking in confidence, she’s brazen and bold, and never afraid to speak what’s on her mind. She has excellent taste, is organized, and is a go-getter, always reaching for the top. She is never afraid, and will never back down from a reasonable challenge. She’s extroverted and very much a people-person. You'll never miss her in the middle of her crowd of friends, though, since she's very loud and extravagant.

Her mother’s unforgiving attitude has taught Lena to never let go of a worthy cause, and to always give everything her all. She’s always searching for a worthy cause to champion, and is a great fun to be around (when you aren’t the target of her derisive humor). She’s very protective of those who are close to her, and will lash out at anyone who tries to badmouth her family. Given her personality, she’s a great person to have in your corner, and a terrible enemy to behold.

Her father, on the other hand, has taught her to be hard-working, to jump at opportunities, and to push people to give their all. She’s always encouraging when she thinks someone can accomplish their goals, and has a very strong heart. Risks are no match for this little girl.

Academically, she will excel in potions, divination, charms, and transfiguration.

Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):

Lena, as mentioned, has quite a tongue, and a very derisive sense of humor. She finds humor in the misfortune (and bad taste) of others, and delights in gossip and scandal. She can be quite cruel at times, and has a very keen sense of entitlement. She’s not always the most politically-correct of the bunch, and is likely to speak her mind even if it doesn’t benefit her.

She’s quite haughty, and can get pretty snobbish. She has a way of looking at people critically, and judging them by their looks. When she gets bored of someone, she drops them without reason, and simply refuses to talk to them. She’s a magnet for arguments and fights, but she never lowers herself to brawls – although she can become quite an emotional bully.

She’s also pretty fickle, and very demanding. She’s used to getting her way, and if you won’t do it her way, well, you can count yourself out of everything she does from that point on. She has a nasty habit of holding grudges, and is quite stubborn. She can’t easily forgive people, and occasionally goes overboard when protecting her friends (she’ll trade you a broken arm for a broken nail). Sometimes she even drives her friends away by pushing them to do better when she thinks they're not living up to their potentials.

She’ll do terribly in history of magic, flying, herbology, care of magical creatures, and arithmancy.

What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:

Despite her snake-like tendencies, I strongly believe Valentina will be best-off in Gryffindor. She’s brave, a lion-hearted girl if there ever was one, and very loyal. She isn’t one to abandon her friends in the midst of a crisis (something Slytherins are infamous for), and although she has a cruel streak, she champions causes that move her. She’s never one for the delicacies of society, and would go for the cold, harsh truth, even when it doesn’t help her cause. In that sense, she's pretty noble. She's pretty encouraging, and will never allow underdogs to stay underdogs for long.
