Brief Childhood History:
Hugo was born and, was raised by his pureblood wizard grandmother (mother side) in Wales. His grandmother studied in Hogwarts. His mother and grandmother were from London and his father was from Germany. His mother was a Gryffindor student in Hogwarts like her mother, for seven years. On the other hand, his father studied in Durmstrang Institute. According to his dad, he moved from Germany to Norway when he was eleven just to study in the particular school. Hugo’s father never elaborated the reason why he had to transfer. Both of Hugo’s parents met during one of Hogwart’s Yule Ball events, back at their time of course. Since then, they never had lost contact with each other.
Hugo’s parents got married in Wales. However, they never had a chance to take of him there since both of them were having their occupations far from Cardiff, Wales. Hugo’s mother became a journalist in the Daily Prophet and was opted by her boss to focus on London so, she had to stay there. His father became a professor in Durmstrang Institute. So, Hugo was handed to his grandmother who was spending her retirement coincidentally, in Wales. Moreover, both of Hugo's parents only visit him during vacations or long holidays. His grandmother was not strict with him. He grew with his grandmothers’ warm hands and delicious cookies. It was also because of his grandmother that he was able to unlock his magical abilities when he was eight.
Hugo during his toddler years, grew up like an ordinary muggle child. He never had any trouble dealing with non magical beings. Later on, when he was already qualified to attend school, he studied in a muggle all boys academy near their house and even gained a lot of muggle friends. When he reached the age of eight, he discovered his magical abilities. He accidentally levitated his grandmother's plate of cookies one fine breakfast morning, and that was how he (and his grandmother) knew that he was already capable of studying magic. He had experienced a few magical related events after his first 'magic' but all of those happenings are only up to unintentional levitation of objects. He wasn’t shocked that he had magical abilities since his grandmother had always reminded him about his true identity. He was unable to control them and so, his grandmother ended up looking after him even in his muggle school. She told Hugo that she used a high level transfiguration charm just to keep an eye on him. However, she didn't elaborate to Hugo how she was able to stop him from making things float. According to her, if she would not be watching over him all the time, his grandson might end up being verbally bullied by people (like being called a freak). Even though Hugo had already discovered his powers, he still preferred living like a muggle. He was born like one of them after all. His newly discovered powers didn't urge him to lock himself in his room and practice those. Instead, he still did his activities normally. He still enjoyed playing football and other physical activities with his muggle friends. He was still able to hangout out with his non magical friends to their favorite places normally.
After Hugo's grandmother knew about his abilities, she contacted his parents. His parents were so happy when they knew that their son finally came out of his shell. So, without hesitation they planned to enroll him to Hogwarts when he would reach the age of eleven. Instantly, Hugo's grandmother told him about his parents' plan for him. The boy didn't have any violent reaction regarding to his parents' decision. He thought that it would be best for him.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Hugo is mischievous. However he is not the very naughty type of kid. He does not terrorize people, as a matter of fact, he enjoys meeting new folks! It’s just that he enjoys seeking adventures of his own too. When it comes to friends, he treasures them. In fact, his muggle friends consider him (although they don’t know it) their secrets bank. They fill him with their secrets without their knowledge, and as a friend, he does not spread them. Moreover, though he doesn’t feel like it, many people see him as a hard working person. But he is aware that, he’s not smart but he does his best in his homework and in any activities whether in home or in somewhere else. Lastly, when he makes decisions, he always considers the people around him, to be fair with them too.
Hugo is physically strong and would do well in Flying or in Quidditch. He had been running and playing physical activities with his muggle friends since he was five. Perhaps, his trained muscles would help him in Quidditch. Also, with his grandmother’s presence from the time when he was born, he would do well in Defense Against the Dark Arts. His grandmother knows a lot of spells concerning Defense Against the Dark Arts compared to the other fields that she's an expert with, Transfiguration and Charms. She had been talking about Defense Against the Dark Arts spells a lot with Hugo but never tried teaching him cast those spells.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Hugo is very friendly, to the point that he trusts everyone. At times, he does use his head more than his heart, though. He is also very lazy when it comes to reading and studying texts which always bring him down in his academics. His feelings are very vulnerable. Once hurt, he tends to be negative for weeks or for months. He is also, at times, clumsy.
Due to his laziness in studying texts he would not be an expert in History of Magic and with his clumsiness, he would not stand out n Potions or in Herbology.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:
Hugo might belong to Hufflepuff. Since, he values hardwork, friendship and fair play (Further elaborated in the Strengths section of the profile sheet).
