Brief Childhood History: Born in a poor section of Dublin, Fianna had no idea there were such things as witches and wizards. She went to school with the other kids in her neighborhood. She was talkative, but found it hard to make close friends because of her suspicious nature. She often entertained herself by reading and drawing. Her parents both worked at the local factory on the line bottling soda pop. They were loving parents, even if they couldn't provide all the luxuries the kids in other parts of town had.
She was thrilled when she got the letter from Hogwarts. She had grown up listening to her grandfather, a storyteller in the old way, tell her tales in the Gaelic dialect and had always secretly hoped there really was magic in the world. Fianna herself is fluent in Gaelic and was hoping to train to be a real storyteller like her grandfather. Her parents were apprehensive about Hogwarts, but her grandfather was thrilled. he said he "always knew she had a bit of the wee folk in her" smiling to himself. Her parents were a worried about the money and affording a private school, but were told that Fianna would be able to stay at Hogwarts on scholarship as long as she kept her grades up.
They eventually decided that she could go and with her grandfather's last-minute advice of remaining true to her roots she boarded the Express for the unknown. An only child and away from home for the first time this will be an adjustment for Fianna, but she is willing to give it all she has.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Fianna has the gift of a silver-tongue. In her country they would say she kissed the Blarney Stone. She can put together words and phrases that are interesting and keep listeners spell-bound with her stories. Her vocabulary and verbal dexterity are beyond her years. She definitely inherited the gift from her grandfather. She has a strong will and doesn't give in easily to peer pressure. It is hard for her to make friends, but once she does she is loyal to the end. She is also honest and expects the same from everyone else. Her best subjects will most likely be History of Magic and any classes that involve spells with complex verbal commands.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): She has the stereotypical Irish temper, much to her families chagrin. She can also take offense easily to things, which is one of the reasons it is hard for her to make friends. She has a very thick Irish accent and sometimes it is hard for her to be understood, being a verbal person this frustrates her. Academically, Potions and Arithomancy are probably her worst classes.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Slytherin, because she is ambitious and determined to do her best no matter what. Not to mention her gift for gab makes her especially cunning.
