Posting Order/ Etiquette
« on: 28 Dec 2010, 11:12 am »
When you are in a thread with more than one person, it is required that you allow everyone in the thread a chance to post before you post again, and to keep up the order of posting. For example, if I am posting as Fiona, and I am in a thread with Capucine, Carver, and Reed, and the posts from each player went in order like this:

Fiona
Capucine
Carver
Reed

I would have to wait for Capucine, Carver, and then Reed to post again before it was my turn. There are a few exceptions to this rule:

1. If someone hasn't posted in a thread for 3-4 days, and they have not posted elsewhere or been on the board in that time period,  the next person in line to post may skip them. If the person has posted elsewhere or has been on the board, it's okay to drop them a polite PM to ask if they intend on posting or if they mind if you skip. If you don't hear from them in another day or so, it's okay to skip.

2.If the thread is very large, more than 5 players, posting order may be ignored. BUT, please still allow other people a chance to post, and do not monopolize the thread with just a few of the characters involved. If you want to branch off and have a one-on-one interaction with someone in the thread, post out and start your own thread.

Please be patient and remember than not everyone is able to post at the same pace. Threads are not locked unless no one posts in them for seven days. :D If you skip posting order and it's not due to one of the circumstances above, a prefect or head student will end up PMing you about it. If you keep doing it despite being asked not to, then you're subject to an official warning, and no one wants that~ xD

Thank you for being patient and courteous RPers!  :biglove: If you have any questions, please feel free to PM a staff member.

all my love for Tany
