Brief Childhood History: Fiona Dawn Kincade was the first born child of Alice and Liam Kincade, a pair of environmental scientists from Cork. Alice, a pureblood witch, gave up her magical heritage after her parents died in a potions accident when she was only a year out of Hogwarts. She decided to go to a muggle university and study there, where she met Liam who she married two years later, but never told him about her magical roots. Alice lived as a muggle, even when Fiona and her younger brother Dean started showing the telltale signs of magic at a young age. Fiona lived a pretty normal childhood otherwise, and was always a happy, inquisitive, nature loving child who was more often than not covered in mud with her glasses sliding down her nose.
Much to Alice’s dismay, Fiona received her Hogwarts letter at the age of eleven, and she was left with the choice of whether or not to reveal her hidden world to her family. Fiona’s love for all things magical and fantastical is what made her choice for her, and she sat the family down to explain that she and Fiona were both witches. The family was surprisingly understanding and excited about the idea, especially Fiona who now had her suspicions confirmed that everything from her books was real.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Fiona will excel in Herbology above anything else in her early years, since she is such a lover of nature. This will further manifest itself in Care of Magical Creatures as she gets older. She’s a very bright girl and a quick learner, as well as having a knack for paying close attention to everything that’s going on around her. She’s friendly and cheerful, and has never really had a problem making friends, even if some people find her a bit strange with the way she gets lost in the fantasy world of her books sometimes.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Despite being a lover of nature and spending most of her time outside, Fiona is horribly clumsy. She’s always got a bandage somewhere on her body due to scrapes from various trips and falls. She always gets right back up again and plows on, though. As for academics, she’ll likely struggle a bit with classes that don’t have a lot of hands on learning like History and Runes, and she’ll likely have a bit of trouble picking up new spells at first in Charms and Transfiguration.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Fiona would fit best in Ravenclaw, due to her quick learning and wit. She’s more focused on discovering new things than anything else, so I really can’t see her anywhere than the house of knowledge.
