Brief Family History: Born on a crisp September afternoon, Briseis is the first of two mischevious children. Her parents, Jerome and Thalia, met at the University of Kent where they easily fell in love after he accidentally pushed her down a flight of stairs, breaking her right arm. The poor man, devastated and embarassed beyond belief never left her side after that fateful day. A few years later, they had a baby girl whose first expression was a giggle. She was a cheerful child who always had a question, an answer and a smile on her lips. Her brother, Jude, whom she treats like a beloved teddy bear, is her best friend to the amusement of her parents. Wherever she goes, there he is, and his sister would have it no other way for he is her student and partner in cri--learning. Upon receiving her Hogwarts letter, her father was mostly bewildered and her mother laughed daintily admitting 'well, that explains it'. Though terrified of leaving her loving family especially her brother, she is thrilled to learn about this whole other world that she had been so certain existed right under her nose.
Strengths: Briseis is a curious child, in every manner. Though she was perfectly entertained with having only her four year old brother for company, she seems to be a natural at socializing (though what child isn't?). As she was brought up in a close-knit, contented family, she exudes a certain optimism that is impressionable on almost anyone. Academically, she enjoys pursuits of more unconventional manner which is why she was thrilled at the idea of 'magic' school.
Weaknesses : The poor girl doesn't has never been in a fight and she suffers a one-sided perspective in life in thinking that everyone laughs as much as her family does. She hasn't experienced much hardships which might alienate her from certain people and she certainly can't understand the idea of segregation (purebloods, muggle-borns, etc). Her academics that will suffer the most are probably the ones that involve a step-by-step or 'routine' process (such as Potions or Astronomy).
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Ravenclaw. Born with an innate sense of wisdom, that is, of knowing when and which excuse will get her out of trouble with whom, she is a stable candidate for the 'house of intelligence'. More than that, she is creative and though her academics may not seem like anything special, Briseis handles her smarts in an off-beat way. Second choice is Hufflepuff.
