Brief Childhood History: Seth was born into a middle-class family in Birmingham, England. There he lived with his overprotective mother and his sister Meghan, who was younger than him by five years. His parents had divorced not long after his sister was born because his wizard father (still muggle in terms of blood) was more interested in traveling the world than settling down with his family. Neither Seth nor Meghan were aware of their father’s magical ability as their mother wants to make sure that they don’t become wizards like their father.
Seth and his younger sister were home schooled by their overprotective mother. Because of this, Seth never really interacted with kids of his own age and has difficulty in social environments. Instead he would often spend his time reading fantasy books and imagining up magical worlds to live in. Despite, not receiving a public education Seth was naturally brilliant and enjoyed learning, assuming it was at his own leisure. His mother tried to be strict with him and give him a proper education, but he was generally defiant towards this and refused to do the proper school work. He still managed to do well on every standardized, so his mother eventually loosened up and stopped trying to force him to do the school work.
Seth did not start displaying any magical ability until just a few months before he turned 11 in which he accidentally transfigured him mom’s ears into cat ears after getting mad at her for not letting him keep a stray cat he found outside their house. His mom immediately panicked and contacted Seth’s father, who apparated into the house to fix this problem. His father was impressed by his son’s newfound magical ability and wanted him to attend Hogwarts. His mother was obviously against the idea, but after much convincing by Seth and his father, she finally gave in and let him go. Seth then went to Diagon Alley to get his supplies and enrolled to Hogwarts, taking the stray cat he had found outside with him.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Seth is very skilled at transfiguration and also very interested in it. He is very intelligent for his age. He is generally very calm and very rarely lets anything upset him. He is a fast learner and generally learns better when he teaches himself rather than when others teach him, so he usually pursues as much knowledge as he can.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Seth has difficulty with subjects such as Astronomy and History of Magic, because he has no interest in classes where no spells are learned. He is very timid in nature and has difficulty interacting with children his own age. He also has much difficulty with flying on a broom and can’t seem to fly one regardless of how much he tries. He also has very little motivation in terms of actual school work. His pursuit for knowledge can sometimes get him into trouble.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Seth should be in Ravenclaw because of his intelligence and creativity. Seth is very fascinated with the magical world and wants to learn as much as he can about spells. He generally values knowledge more than anything else.
