John Miller - Denied
« on: 07 Dec 2011, 02:08 pm »
First and Last Name: John Miller

Bloodline: Pureblood
Hair Color: light brown
Eye Color: brown
General Build: average
Height: tall

Birthplace: England, London
Brief Childhood History:

John is the only son of the Millers, a very rich pureblood family, with a large history and a lot of traditions. Many children from the Wizarding World would have been proud and happy to be part of such a family, but he hated it for as long as he could remember. Even though he was gifted with great powers, John's only wish had always been to be a normal child. Ever since he found out about the Muggle World, he had grown a very deep and forbidden desire of seeing that world, live in it, be part of it. He was refusing to accept his wizard status, many times acting as if he knew nothing about magic. He insisted to be send to a Muggle school when he was 7 years old, which his parents strictly refused.

With time, his hate towards magic and wizards had only grown bigger and bigger, to his entire family's dislike and disappointment. It was only after his first year at Hogwards that his hate simply reached a maximum level. He was unable to fit in that place, the teachers and the classes annoyed him, their cloths disgust him. At home, even if his parents tried their best, they couldn't convince him to stop wearing his muggle cloths that he loved so much. But in that school, he was forced to wear their uniform, which made him sick and disturbed. He eventually styled it his way, by adding chains, pin badges and spike belts.

He accepted the fact that he has no choice but to admit that he is a wizard and that he must stay in Hogwards and study magic. But he hates it to bits and he doesn't want to be there. He might cause a lot of trouble without even caring because he doesn't even mind about being expelled.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Charms, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts. Very charismatic, many times funny, determinated, he somehow always succeeds in what he proposes himself to do.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): He could not ride a broom if his life depended on it. Astronomy and Divinations. He never does what people ask him to do. Sometimes, he talks too much. He can become extremely annoying if someone gets him disturbed or frustrated.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: He belongs to Slytherin from my point of view, though he doesn't feel like he belongs there at all. He is very proud, kind of arrogant, at many times cocky and narcissist. He comes from a Pureblood family with a long series of ancestors that had been in Slytherin. His hate for the Wizarding World and his love for Muggles is what makes him different and special, but whenever I think of John, I can only image him as a Slytherin.

Heya John and welcome to HPRPG~!

However, before we can sort you, there's a fairly important detail in your character sheet that I'm going to need you to revise. ^^; You state something in his history about him beginning to run away in the summer of his third year at Hogwarts? Unfortunately, at HPRPG, all character start as first years so if you could go back and remove any trace of ~older John and make sure the sheet is relevant to an eleven-year-old, that'd be fantastic!

Once you've made the above change just swap the title from 'pending' to 'edited'~

Thank you for editing! :biglove:

One more fairly small thing- we ask that you don't 'list' strengths and weaknesses, but rather write them out in paragraph form complete with accompanying 'why's so we can better understand why you chose those particular strengths and weaknesses to be a part of John's character. ^^ Such as why you chose those particular classes, why is he funny/charismatic, determined... why is talking too much a weakness for him, and why does he tend to get annoying when frustrated and such?

You know the drill with the title~!

As it's been over two weeks since we've last asked you to make changes, I'm going to deny this character sheet for now. Please feel free to post your sheet again at a later date with the requested changes! ;)
