Brief Childhood History: Alex never knew her mother, as her mother died giving birth to her and her twin brother, Zander. She grew up with her father, a Muggle banker, who had no idea that his wife had been a witch and no clue what his children would grow up to be. Since Alex essentially grew up as a Muggle, she was unsure as to what was going on whenever her magical talents revealed themselves until she got her letter. When she did, her father almost didn't allow her to go, since he thought it to be an elaborate hoax, but he finally consented after having recieved a visit from one of the professors.
Alex grew up in a neighborhood with few children besides her and Zander, and so outside school she spent time with her brother. Mostly, this entailed exploring the town or surrounding countryside, or defending Zander when one of his pranks drew unwanted attention. In school, she didn't have many friends, as she preferred to spend time with her twin instead of with people she didn't know.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): She's very good with potions and anything else that requires her to follow straight, clear-cut instructions. She's also fairly good at manipulating situations so that they turn out at least somewhat how she wants them to. Alex is also pretty good at keeping her head in a crisis and is fairly quick to wrap her head around foreign concepts.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Her worst subject, magical or otherwise, is history, as she is unable to remember specific dates. She's also rather ignorant when it comes to magical ideas or even social interactions, as she didn't have the chance to hang out around too many other children growing up. It's also hard for Alex to show anyone many of her emotions, which makes it hard to connect with her.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I think that Alex belongs in Slytherin. As mentioned before, she’s pretty cunning and good at manipulating situations to her advantage. She does have other houses’ qualities (smarts when it comes to potions, bravery when she feels the need to defend someone, or loyalty toward her family) but they aren’t quite as prominent as her cunningness.
