First and Last Name: Oakley Wadsworth

Bloodline: Pureblood
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Brown
General Build: Average
Height: Average

Birthplace: London, England
Brief Childhood History:
Oakley was born in late August with cameras in his face. Both his wizard parents, Parker and Lizzy Wadsworth, were photographers. Though they had two different styles, they shared the same passion for their work.

Parker photographs violent action, people who are 'real' in the sense of people who have suffered, people who are despaired. He took pictures hoping that the pictures he took would change the world and when he realized that would never happen, he took them for history.

While Parker took pictures of what most people would call depressing, Lizzy, on the other hand, took happy and serene pictures. Most of her pictures are of nature, insects, and people but only people who are laughing and gives off a strong aura of happiness.

His parents had met during a mutual friend's art showing. While both were reviewing a piece, they began to bicker back and forth over the meaning it. They fell in love instantly but still don't see eye to eye on each others photos. They married a month later and nine months later Oakley was born.

Since Oakley was born, because of his father's style, he didn't get to see much of him. His father came around during the holidays, or when despair was scarce in the world, but when something was happening, his father would leave again. His mother, who could take great photos anywhere, stayed in London in a flat that over looked the river. It was there that she raised Oakley and he had a pretty normal childhood.

It was no surprise when he too fell into the passion of taking pictures. Though mainly, he was obsessed with the meaning of the photos. He constantly questioned, Who, What, When, and Why, though. While his mother walked around London with her camera, Oakley was following, taking pictures with his muggle camera. Though questions still burned him, he didn't run off on his own to get the answers.

As he grew older, he realized his real passion wasn't in photography itself but in reporting. He wanted the facts, he wanted to report them and tell everyone why things were the way they were. He is almost ruthless when it comes to getting the answers he wants and most of the time careless, not regrading his own safety. Normally running head long into fights at school trying to find out why the bully must beat up the smaller and weaker kids, while snapping pictures left and right with his muggle camera. This most of the time causes the fights to break up and in turn, cause him to be bullied but made friends with the weaker crowd. He tries to stay neutral but does know right from wrong and when given the chance, will bring some justice to those who are wrong. Like the bullies and cheaters, he would take photos and leave them around the teacher's desk to be found.

As Oakley grew, so did his hatred for his muggle camera, even though it was very reliable. He thought that since the pictures didn't move like his parents photos, it was a child's camera. It was the only thing that Oakley and his parents fought about. He wanted a wizard's camera, and they kept refusing. Though upset about it, it didn't stop him from taking muggle pictures, which littered his room with pieces of parchment that had what was going on, and why.

It was only when he received his owl to Hogwarts that he also received his first wizard camera. He was threaten that if his grades were bad, they would take the camera away. The threat was almost as bad as if they had said they would kill him personally.

Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Oakley would be great in charms since several charms deals with pictures and posters, like the color changing charm. Along with reporting he would also be great in History of Magic since it tells the answers the who, what, when, why and how. Oakley is also without much fear, and if he is scared, pays very little attention to it. He jumps into action before anything else, disregarding his own personal safety.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Oakley would be horrible in Transfiguration. Seeing no point in turning a beetle into a button or a button into a beetle. He believes if you need a button, grab a button and why would anyone want a beetle? Potions would also be another horrible subject for him. While, a potion is used as a solution that helps develop the pictures his parents took, that's about the only potion Oakley knows. Cutting and crushing ingredients and trying to remember all of the ingredients is highly boring and he loses focus, causing his ingredients to be cut or crushed wrong or put in at the wrong time. Oakley has a nosy personality, always trying to get in everyone's business, trying to get everyone's deepest darkest secret or trying to catch them when they are doing something wrong. Most people would see this as him being a snitch, or trying to get information to blackmail or extort them, even though he's not. This would cause a lot of people not to trust him or get to close to him. He's also very into facts, most of time leaving personal feelings out, this causes him to be a little cold sometimes. Coming off, uncaring, or sympathetic.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Oakley would be perfect in Gryffindor. He's courageous, running to the front of the line in any battle just so that he can get the perfect picture and write down the facts. He lacks fear in his personal safety if it means getting the whole story first. If everyone said run, and started running, he would stay behind and ask why, trying to find the cause of everyone running. He does hold a value to friendship, but doesn't have many friends, and the few he has, he treasures. When he isn't holding the camera, or in his reporter mode, which is rare, he's a very happy go lucky kind of guy, always laughing and smiling, being one of his mother's favorite person to photograph.
