Brief Childhood History: Ivan was born in a small house on the outskirts of London, where he was raised in a peaceful area with many trees. Since he was five, he would climb into the trees and sit there; this is where he thought about things- anything. His mother was a witch, though his father was a muggle and it wasn't until after Ivan was born that his father realized his mother was a witch. He forbade using magic in the house, and was especially strict, so Ivan would escape into the trees and clear his mind a lot.
His mother went into muggle London with his father many, many times, usually leaving him behind. He didn't mind; he felt a deep hatred for his father and wanted to stay away from his father as much as possible- even if it meant hiding away from his mother, too. The first time they left him to go into London, he hid out in the foresty area and started to create a small tree-house. It wasn't the best, just a small platform that looked very dangerous to stand on, but that was where he hid out most of the time. Every time he had more than an hour to get away from his parents, he would try to fix it up a bit and make it more sturdy.
He was really surprised when he'd gotten his letter from Hogwarts; he never really showed any magic, and he forgot there was magic at times, so he never thought he'd be accepted into the school. But nonetheless, he was grateful and very happy to be going to Hogwarts. His mother was, too, though his father just narrowed his eyes and turned away.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): He's usually good at charms and defense against the dark arts, doesn't get angry or aggressive much so people tend to think of him as a nice person, innocent, and he's a good listener.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): He's not so good when it comes to Herbology or History of Magic, tends to be forgotten in the crowd as he's so quiet(Like left behind), and doesn't have many friends.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: I believe he belongs in Slytherin; he shares many of the same characteristics as me(The quietness, the fact that he has few friends and doesn't really like to have friends, the slight sense of seeing things in a darker way than others) and I was sorted into Slytherin at Pottermore. He doesn't really feel like he needs friends, and he doesn't rush into things headfirst. If he doesn't get into Slytherin, he'd be in Ravenclaw.
