Brief Childhood History: Sydney’s parents met at Hogwarts James being a couple of years older than her but bother in the Ravenclaw house. They started dating during his last year but didn’t really commit until after Grace had graduated. Grace joined the ministry straight after Hogwarts but stayed in Ballycastle where James worked in Herbology so they could stay together. After a couple of years they married and Sydney’s sister, Penny, was born a year after they were married and Sydney was born two years after Penny. Youngest child Elise was born a year later, growing up with such a small age gap Sydney was close to her sisters but had more in common with her little sister rather than Penny. Most people did think that Sydney was the youngest because of the fact she did look younger than Elise but also could act a lot younger than she was.
Her parents decided that all their children should go to Primary School to help them socialize and learn new things, Sydney was popular but didn’t really make any close friends instead she had a large group of friends that she would hang out and play with. She remained rather naïve when it came to people and never learnt when she was being taken advantage of; school work was also something that she struggled with. Sydney never stopped trying though, she would always work hard and kept trying until she succeed or got as close as possible before someone told her to let it go.
Although she never managed to make it onto and sport teams sports was always something that she was interested in and she spent most of her time outside when not at school. At a young age she discovered the skateboard and became a quick fan before discovering roller-skates and heelys, she became slightly obsessed with heelys and tends to wear them whenever possible. When Penny got her letter Sydney was slightly jealous even though she had already shown signs of being magical and refused to talk to her sister for a short amount of time but missed her terrible while Penny was away. She was overjoyed when she got her own letter and couldn’t wait to get her wand and get on the train.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): Sydney has always been social, she will talk to anyone and is very loyal to her closest friends and family. Trying hard at anything and everything she starts is a big part of her personality she will try and make sure she finishes whatever she starts. Academically there wouldn’t be many subjects she would take to easily but she would enjoy charms most followed by Transfiguration and do better at them.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Although she is social she has difficulty understanding the nuances of communication and cannot tell if someone is taking advantage of her. She also finds it hard to stick to a small group of friends or get truly close to anyone but her family. School wise Sydney has to try hard to get anywhere and finds most subjects difficult and can get confused quickly. Subjects like History of Magic would be hard for her because of all the dates to memorise and keep in order.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why: Hufflepuff is the house suits Sydney most, she is incredibly hard working and tries hard to finish things. When she does become close to people she is also very loyal to them and being in Hufflepuff may help her understand the difference between people that will take advantage and people she can be truly loyal to.
