Brief Childhood History:
Talia was born to Kane and Fiona Talisman on January 12. Kane is a Pureblood from an average wizarding family. His family has lived in Ottery St. Catchpole for as long as anyone can recall. Fiona is a Muggle-born witch born to a Scottish father and Filipina mother. Fiona's family currently resides in the United States - they move a lot. Both of Talia's parents work in the Muggle world - Kane as a book illustrator and Fiona as an elementary school teacher.
Talia is currently an only child, but her mother is pregnant with a brother that will be named Ian. Talia has mixed feelings about the baby as she has been the only child and grandchild (both parents are only children) for the past 11 years. She is well-traveled, having spent lots of time during school holidays visiting her mother's nomadic parents.
She has a visual memory and loves to read. She has an extensive home library. She often speaks in language that is more adult than childish, as she has spent most of her childhood in the presence of adults. Her best friend is a boy named Caleb Shaffer - a Muggle from her hometown. He doesn't know that she's a witch. Talia worries about making new friends at school as she and Caleb have promised to never "replace" one another.
Talia can be very stubborn and has a bit of a temper. She is extremely loyal, almost to a fault. She adores animals and spends hours with her calico cat, Aurora.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic):
Talia will be good at Care of Magical Creatures (due to her love of animals) and Transfiguration (she is very precise). She has a visual memory - once she has read something in a book, she will rarely forget it. Talia inherited her father's artistic abilities. She is a gifted artist and often spends time drawing animals. She is extremely loyal.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic):
Talia will be horrible at Potions (it's too much like cooking for her taste) and Divination (she's much too logical to buy into it). Due to her bookish tendencies, she can be a bit of a know-it-all. Talia is very stubborn and has a hard time admitting when she is wrong. She can be a bit of a perfectionist - she gets frustrated when her artwork is less than stellar. She has a fiery temper when provoked.

Talia belongs in Ravenclaw. She is smart and artistic. It's also the house that both of her parents were in - it's a bit of a family tradition. She has never questioned her place at Hogwarts.
